| Y/N's POV |
We soon arrived at what looked like the Los Angeles mall. Hailee pushed her door open, holding it open for me as she held out her hand. I took it, making my way out the car as my eyes adjust to the sunlight again. Hailee had two bodyguards following us at a distance as we walked inside the building. Hailee had to keep her hat on and her head down, making sure to not be any noticeable since she did try stealing from here.
I also used to work here so I couldn't be recognized either so Hailee made sure to pull the hood of my flannel up and over my head, covering my face.
Our first stop was target, Hailee didn't need groceries though, she had told me prior that she has special deliveries for food every Friday to her mansion. I followed her as we made our way through the kids section, I noticed how much Hailee kept glancing at the baby section but she never went over to it.
Instead, she led us to the women's and men's section. "Choose whatever you want. No budget, just get whatever." The brunette whispered in my ear, keeping me close to her chest as I nodded softly, looking up at her. "Matthew will be by your side." She pointed to a tall, somewhat bulky man who waved at me with a kind smile. "When you're done, tell Matthew."
"Okay." I smiled and Hailee stared at me for a good moment before leaving with her own bodyguard. Matthew approached me, his arms crossed behind his back. I gave him a smile, which he returned, before I began walking around the section, eyeing the clothes.
'Choose whatever you want' Hailee said. Do I really take advantage of her like this? I shake my head, setting a plan for myself. 6 pairs of jeans, 3 pairs of pajamas, 6 shirts, 2 hoodies (or not I can just steal Hailee's), and anything else I need. I don't want to use Hailee like that, even if I'd probably like to, it doesn't feel right to do that. No matter how much a criminal she may be.
I managed to grab what I need in a span of 30 minutes, when I finished, Matthew led me over to where Hailee was. She was looking at the electronic section. Specifically, the PlayStations.
Of course.
I approached her, resting a hand on her bicep, she jumped slightly before seeing it was me, she relaxed only slightly. She let out a sigh. "I'm guessing you want your phone back, huh?"
"Maybe." I mutter, resting my chin on her shoulder, wrapping my arms around her waist from behind. The taller girl tensed up, but she never pushed me away.
"If you need anything else, just let me know." Hailee scratched the back of her neck before moving out of my embrace, as her bodyguards pushed the carts we had. "Do you need... feminine products?"
I giggled, nodding my head. "Yes, I do." Hailee's face turned from me to Matthew, she opened her mouth to speak but I cut her off. "Can you come with me instead?"
She looked taken aback by my question but she nodded anyway, I held my hand out for her. When Hailee didn't take my hand, I grabbed her hand, forcing it in mine with a smile. Hailee just stared at our hands the entire time we walked over to where the feminine products were. Her bodyguards weren't far behind us, they were pushing the carts.
"Get what you need." Hailee said, her feet halting a few feet from the aisle. I looked at her in confusion before furrowing my brows with mischief in my eyes.
"Are you awkward about periods?" I smirk and Hailee's face flushed. "You are!" I exclaim before her hand was shoved over my mouth, shutting me up but my smirk never faded.
"Such a chatterbox." Hailee rolled her eyes, reluctantly walking with me over to where the pads and tampons were.
"You'll be fine, you big baby."'I tease and grab whatever I needed, shoving the boxes in Hailee's arms. She fumbled with them before securing them in her hands, sighing dramatically as she stared at the ceiling the entire time. "Let's go." Hailee was quick to put everything in the carts, grabbing my hand as she led me out of the target.
"Darren has my card, he'll pay. Let's get you something to eat." I could tell Hailee cared, especially with the way she said that sentence and the way she didn't bother looking at me. It's mostly because she's never cared like this before though.
"Thank you." I stop her from moving, gently yanking her towards me by her hand. We were inches away from each other, her hazel eyes were glued to my face. I took advantage of this position to grab Hailee's arm, forcing it around my waist. "You're okay." I assure her with a smile, my other hand reaching up to cup her cheek. Hailee looked at me, her gaze softening.
"Can I kiss you?" Hailee asked in a soft tone, not caring that we were in the middle of the mall as I wrapped my arms around her neck.
"Yes." I breathed out and Hailee didn't waste any time in connecting our lips once again in a soft, slow kiss. It was long, it felt like forever as our lips moved in sync, her lips were so soft and warm, I couldn't help but crave them. Her arm tightened around my waist, pulling me closer which made me smile into the kiss, tilting my head as I deepen it.
