| Billie's POV |
Shaking the shackles I was trapped in, Y/N stood with shock and tears streaming down her face in Griffin's arms. With determination yet surprise, Hailee snapped out of her trance of emotions and desperately searched the room for anything useful to break me out.
Out of the corner of my eye, I see her grab an add and use that to chop the chains off of my feet first, I felt them break free. As soon as I was able to touch the ground, my feet went limp. I haven't stood on my own in so long, I've almost forgotten how to.
"I got you." Hailee whispered reassuringly in my ear. She grasped my waist and hoisted me over her shoulder after breaking my wrists free. Griffin carried Y/N who still seemed a little weak from whatever happened to her, and the Steinfeld siblings rescued us out.
Hailee took the lead in guiding us out, but her and I were dragged into a separate room. Somewhere far from Y/N and Griffin. I was lightly thrown off of her shoulder and placed to lean up against the pillow. I watch Hailee instinctively reach for the pistol hidden behind her back, safely tucked away halfway into her pants. Kinda like that thing in the movies, I don't know, but she looked cool.
Pete stumbled out, a little groggily, but he managed. With a rifle in his hand, he held it up with one hand, aiming it at Hailee's head. "You're useless pistol is nothing against mine, it's a losing battle." He growled, his words coming out into a slight slur. I groaned when I suddenly felt a queasy feeling in my stomach, I wanted to throw up from the lack of food and water. I only received it once a week. I'm going to take a guess and say I'm very, very ill.
Hailee just clutched the pistol in her hand, not fearing anything in that moment. Griffin comes running in, only to throw his hands up when Pete points his rifle between the two siblings. "Where's Y/N?" Hailee harshly asked her brother.
"I don't know!" He panicked and Pete chuckled evilly. "She was with me, I swear, and then she disappeared out of nowhere!" Griffin continued to explain for no real reason. I sighed and tiredly leaned my head back against the wall. I haven't had a good night of sleep in a while.
"Well, well, well." Pete stepped forward. "What ever will you do without your precious girlfriend? Who, by the way, is also carrying your babies?" He laughed his ass off. This ain't funny, dude. "Now, that is-"
A gunshot was fired off and I instinctively ducked — as did Hailee and Griffin — but we soon realized that it wasn't him who shot, nor Hailee, or anyone else.
It was Y/N.
She stood, petrified with what she had done. "Baby." Hailee approached her cautiously, the gun rattling in Y/N's hands due to how shaky they were. My best friend dropped it, watching in horror as blood pooled around Pete's father.
"I'm so sorry." She collapsed, crying her eyes out in Hailee's arms. Hailee only looked like she was hurt because Y/N was crying. "I'm so sorry, Hailee."
"Hey, shh, shh. It's okay. Baby, we gotta go, come on." We could worry too much about anything else. Hailee picked up Y/N and Griffin picked me up. With that, we managed to escape the Steinfeld's parents mansion and the horrors inside it.
Oh, and if you're wondering where Finneas and Claudia were, I'll tell you this. They ain't in that mansion. Pete must've shipped 'em off to another boss. And I have an idea of who.
