"Yes sweetie, She is your new baby sister. We'll have to keep her safe now."

Y/N POV:

Returning home after an unsuccessful search for El, I found my mom and dad rearranging things in the house. Curious, I inquired about what had happened, and they explained that my dad had misplaced something.

3rd POV:

Noah and Melissa were now at Joyce's house with Hopper, explaining everything to Joyce. As they looked at the newspaper article about the missing child, Noah and Melissa looked at each other, both realizing what had happened 12 years ago.

"Excuse me," Melissa said, standing up and walking to Joyce's bathroom with heavy breathing.

Noah stood up quickly and followed Melissa, as Hopper and Joyce looked at them in confusion.

Melissa went inside the bathroom and started pacing around. Noah walked inside too.

"Melissa, calm down," Noah said as Melissa's eyes started to well up with tears.

"How could I, Noah?" she asked him, stopping pacing and standing in front of him. "If Y/N's birth mother didn't give her to you, Y/N could be one of the experiments there," she said as she started to cry.

"Hey, hey," Noah hugged her, patting her back. But Noah's eyes had tears too.

"I think we have to share this with Hopper and Joyce," Melissa said. Noah nodded.

They went back to the living room and told Hopper and Joyce everything.

12 years ago:

Noah was driving home from work when suddenly a frantic woman carrying a baby darted out into the street in front of his car. Noah slammed on the brakes just in time to avoid hitting her. He quickly got out of the car.

"Ma'am! Are you alright?" Noah asked with concern.

The woman was breathing heavily, looking around fearfully. When she noticed Noah's police uniform, she rushed over to him.

"Please officer, take my child and keep her safe!" She held out the wailing infant desperately.

Noah was bewildered. "Wait, why do I need to take your baby?"

"There's no time, they're after us! Please, I'm begging you, protect her!" The woman implored, trying to hand Noah the child.

Noah stepped back, holding up his hands. "Hold on, just tell me what's happening here. Who's after you?"

"I can't explain, please, you have to hide her before they find us!" The woman insisted urgently.

"Ma'am, I can't just take a child without knowing the situation. Talk to me, maybe I can help," Noah said calmly.

The woman shook her head frantically, tears in her eyes. "I wish I could explain but there's no time. Please officer, please protect my daughter, keep her safe no matter what!"

Noah took the baby as he tried to ask more questions but the woman just kept repeating "Protect her!" before running off down the street and disappearing from view.

The baby in Noah's arms wailed loudly. He looked down at the infant, conflicted about what to do. With a sigh, he carefully put her into the car and drove home.

When Noah entered the house, his 4-year-old daughter Y/S/N came running up to him happily. "Daddy, you're home!" she said. Then she noticed the crying baby in his arms and looked confused. "Daddy, whose baby is that?"

Noah's wife Melissa walked into the room. "Noah, what's going on? Where did you get a baby from?"

Noah explained how the strange woman had thrust the infant into his arms, pleading for protection. Melissa's face filled with concern as she took the baby from Noah and sat on the couch, gently rocking her until she calmed down.

Meanwhile, Y/S/N peered curiously at the baby. "Is this my new sister?" she asked excitedly.

Noah and Melissa looked at each other, realizing they now had another child to care for. Melissa smiled warmly at Y/S/N. "Yes sweetie, She is your new baby sister. We'll have to keep her safe now."

Noah nodded, looking tenderly at the baby. "That poor woman was clearly in some kind of danger. We have to protect this little one for her."

Y/S/N grinned and started playing peek-a-boo with the baby, making her giggle. Noah put his arm around Melissa as they watched their daughters bond.

Joyce and Hopper stared at Noah and Melisa, their expressions a mix of shock and disbelief in the aftermath of the unexpected revelation.

"And what makes you think Y/n is from that lab?" Hopper questioned, a skeptical edge to his voice.

Noah shared a meaningful look with Melisa, their silent communication conveying the gravity of the situation. "Y/n has this mind-reading and mind-controlling thing," Melisa cautiously admitted, gauging the room's reaction.

"What?" Joyce exclaimed, her eyes widening with surprise. "Mind-reading and mind control? How is that even possible?"

Noah took a deep breath before launching into an explanation. "We found out about her abilities when she was just five. It was... unusual, to say the least."

Hopper, arms crossed, displayed clear skepticism. "Mind-reading? Mind control? Are you sure about this?"

Melisa nodded solemnly. "We've seen it happen, Jim. Y/n can pick up on thoughts and sometimes influence them. It's unsettling, but we've learned to live with it."

Hopper ran a hand through his hair, clearly grappling with the implications. "And you've never mentioned this before? Why now?"

Noah sighed, conveying the weight of their decision. "We were afraid. Afraid of what it meant, afraid of what might happen if people found out. But with everything going on, we couldn't keep it to ourselves any longer."

Joyce, ever empathetic, placed a reassuring hand on Melisa's shoulder. "You did the right thing by telling us. We'll figure this out together."

Hopper, still processing the newfound information, added a note of caution. "But we need to be cautious. If Y/n does have these abilities, the lab might be interested in her again."
