"Hey, they will return safely with Will, okay?"

Y/N POV:

"Mr. Clarke? It's Dustin."

We are standing in the kitchen, watching Dustin talk to Mr. Clarke.

"Yeah, yeah. I just, I," Dustin stammered. "I have a science question."

"Do you know anything about sensory deprivation tanks? Specifically, how to build one?" He asked. I looked at him, pursing my lips, waiting for him to finish.

"Fun," he said.

"You always say we should never stop being curious," Dustin continued. "To always open any curiosity door we find. Why are you keeping this curiosity door locked?"

"Uh-huh. Uh-huh," and now Dustin was writing on the notepad with the phone on his ear. "How much? Uh-huh. Yup, all right. Yeah, we'll be careful. Definitely. All right, Mr. Clarke. Yeah, I'll see you on Monday. I'll see you Monday, Mr. Clarke. Bye."

Dustin clicked off the phone, placing it on the table and turning to face us, aiming his pencil directly at Joyce.

"Do you still have that kiddie pool we bobbed for apples in?" Dustin asked Joyce.

"I think so," Joyce nodded. "Yeah."

"Good," Dustin said. "Then we just need salt. Lots of it."

"How much is 'lots'?" Dad asked as Dustin looked down at his notepad, then looked up at my dad.

"1,500 pounds."

"Well, where are we gonna get that much salt?" Nancy asked.

My family and Arlo stepped out of my dad's car at our school as we split up to do our respective tasks. My dad went with Hopper and Jonathan to acquire salt, my mom and Joyce took El to get her prepared, Arlo went with Lucas and Dustin, while my sister and I went to turn on the water service because the main is shut off.

After successfully getting the water running, my sister and I walked back to where the others were gathered.

"So, you were searching for the gate?" my sister inquired after I had recounted everything we had done from the beginning up until now. She then shared her own experiences.

"And you are looking for that monster?" I asked in return, and she nodded.

"Okay, then, hereafter, no secrets," she declared.

"I Promise, no secrets, and that goes for you too," I said, and she nodded.

"I promise," she said, and I smirked.

"Then, do you like Steve?" I asked at the same time my sister asked. "Do you like Arlo?" We both looked at each other with wide eyes.

"Umm," we both said.
