Three days later

"But that was a little girl's dream...
I'm not a little girl anymore. I grew up and, I saw that in reality, princes don't do what they did in my dream and I realized dreams don't come true."

"They do, it's just that with time, they change and if you're very unlucky, sometimes, they break down entirely and become nightmares."

"Maybe. But, I still keep dreaming, even with that possibility."

...

"I love you Can."..."I love you and you love me. We love each other. That's what matters. We can overcome this if we want to. Can, we - "

"We, we, we!"..."Don't say we Sanem because there is no we!"..."If there was ever anything special between us it's gone Sanem! You're no one to me now, just like everyone else!"

...

"Sanem, I'm not coming back to the agency. Tomorrow or after."

"Why?"

"I think you know."

"Why?"

"I'm going to take Polen up on her offer."..."I'm out Sanem."

Wiping her cheeks, Sanem shakes the memory away, closing her eyes.
You're running Can. If you really loved me, you wouldn't be running, you'd be forgiving me.

"Enough," Sanem sniffs. "I need to go home," she takes a deep breath and stands up. She had managed to keep her parents in the dark for the whole weekend. Luckily Leyla played along when she said she was going to do some things with Ayhan and it allowed her to disappear and go for very long walks along the pier.

Her mind replayed the last week between her and Can over and over, she couldn't stop it. Especially looking at the clear blue water. But now she needed to stop wallowing and try to compose herself. It was already eleven o'clock and she still wanted to go and visit Ayhan for real.

"Taxi!" she calls when she reaches the curb, and holds out her hand, rushing to get to the other side.

Screeching brakes and squealing tires make her turn her head much too late.

The car hits her on the left, causing her to bump her head on the hood hard. The impact wasn't that hard, but it was enough to hurt.

She rolls down to the ground and her arms fly up to her head right away.

"Oh my God! Are you okay?!" the male driver yells as he gets out, coming round to the front to check on her, along with spectators who rushed forward as well. "She came out of nowhere!" he panics, bending to lift her arm away. "Hey, hey, easy," he says when Sanem winces, being helped up gently by two women and the driver to sit.

"I'm fine," she says dizzily, holding the side of her neck. It had felt like a snapping rubber band when she hit.

"Don't move, I'm calling an ambulance."

"No, really," Sanem blindly looks up at the man digging his phone out. "It's just a bump." It didn't feel too bad. Her neck was stiff, she had a little whiplash and she was a bit dizzy, but it wasn't unlike the time she fell into the ditch.

Someone hands her water, and she takes it, but immediately feels nauseous, spitting it right back out, the water trickling down her chin.

"Yes, hello, I - Shit!" the man checks his phone. "Damn the signal here." He looks down at Sanem as she wipes her chin dry and then bends. "Look at me?" She looks, his face swimming. He had a beard, and short curly hair with dark brown eyes. And he looked tall. "Do you think you can stand?"
