"I don't know why Sanem is being so capricious. The car barely hit her. She's fine. She's not dying of blood loss. Why does she have to look like she's dying?"

"Muzo," JJ snaps, "what nonsense are you spewing now huh? Do you have any idea how much she's worrying? No, you don't. Firstly, Mr Can is going abroad. They broke up. Sanem quit her job, and now she's stuck back home."

Muzaffer's eyes widen. "Wait, she was really serious about that?"

"Yes," JJ sighs then shakes his head. "Sanem, Sanem..." He stares ahead of him. "I'm also worried...They might fire me because...Oh my God!" he stops walking and turns to Muzaffer in alarm. "What if I suffer the same fate?! Ayhan drops me, I lose my job and I have to be stuck here forever?!"

"What? No, don't be ridiculous. They won't fire you. You, Cengiz, are the glue. They will never let you go."

JJ nods, taking a deep breath.

"That said, I am interested to know something...Do you think Miss Guliz got home safe? She should have sent a message by now but she's hasn't..."

JJ eyes him then slowly grins. "Muzo?"

"Hm?"

"Do you like Guliz?"

Muzaffer scoffs and turns to start walking again. "Pff, no! What are you even saying? Where would you get that from? I don't like her," he chuckles.

"No?" JJ laughs too.

"No not even the little dimple in her left cheek when she smiles."

"Really?"

"And not even the way her eyes light up when she's gossiping! Ha ha ha!"

"Oh Lord, you're in love!"

"No! No, I'm not ready." They stop laughing and Muzaffer huffs. "Fine, I like her, but I'm not in love...yet...I might be falling though," he grins cheekily again. "I really like her!"

"Hm, let's go home and have coffee. I'll tell you some things," JJ claps him on the back.

"Okay," Muzaffer nods eagerly.

Sanem was busy getting her bed ready after everyone left and she took a shower, when there's a knock and she turns to see her mother peeking in worriedly.

"Darling?"

"Mom?"

"Why are you still awake? Aren't you going to sleep?"

"I wanted some fresh sheets," Sanem says, pulling down the sheet over the corner to avoid her mother's eyes.

Closing the door behind her, Mevkhibe comes over and takes Sanem's hand. "Come sit with me."
Sanem sits, looking down at their hands in Mevkhibe's lap. "What were you thinking about so hard today hm?" Mevkhibe removes a piece of hair from Sanem's face. "You're not the same, baby. Ever since you came back after this weekend. Don't think I didn't notice, because I did. What happened?" Sanem lifts her eyes. "Is it something with Can again? Please, honey, tell me?"

Sanem frowns, swallowing. She didn't want to lie anymore, but she was also ashamed to tell the whole truth. "My relationship with Can is very bad right now."

"Oh darling, this happens in every relationship. Look at me and your father, we argue all the time, then we make up and then we argue again. Do I go and throw myself in front of a car? Does he? No."

"Mom, I didn't do it on purpose."

Mevkhibe raises her brows. Really?

Sanem frowns, her lip jutting out. "Can's leaving."
