Five minutes later, Can is sitting in a chair listening to the flamboyant director - one Mr Deniz - talking, and playing with a round decoration type thing he picked up off the coffee table as soon as he sat down.

"I think we need to take the 'You are what you eat' approach."

"Meaning you choose carefully what you eat," Yigit adds.

"Meaning you have to use what God gives you to eat," Sanem corrects.

"We won't be saying that," Polen looks up at Sanem and shakes her head.

"I don't know what things are like where you're from, but here we do it this way. Your book is catering for here not there so shh."

"Yeah, that saying is more for people on diets," Can shrugs, unimpressed by the idea. "Besides, you're all focusing on the ingredients. You can't promote a cookbook based on ingredients, where are the recipes? It's a recipe book."

"My friend, am I the one directing this or you?" Deniz says irritably at Can's comments.

"Don't get on his bad side, Mr Deniz," Sanem says warningly with a knowing nod at Can.

"I don't care about the recipes, I care about how they look. If you want to choose recipes, choose and let's move on already."

Can taps his fingers on the decoration, looking levelly at the man narrowing his eyes inpatiently. "I'll choose soon."

"Yigit," Deniz scoffs, "do you hear this?"

"Mr Deniz, I have to agree with him, at least in part. 'You are what you eat' isn't something everyone is used to, we have to be more traditional with the look and the recipes."

"I believe what he's trying to say is we want a book with recipes from around the world," Polen explains.

"There is too much going on, my head is going to explode," Deniz rubs his temples rolling his eyes. "It's all just too messy. One says this, then one says this. I can't keep up."

"We're in a meeting making decisions aren't we?" Deniz turns to Sanem who shrugs. "We're making decisions, that's how these things go."

Deniz turns back to Can in a huff, ignoring her. "Mr Can, do you understand anything I'm saying?"

"Him, understand?" Sanem asks flatly and lifts a brow. "Interesting..."

Can slams the decoration piece down on the table next to him and sits back, keeping his hand on it. "I'm trying."

"All you have to do is take some photos and pick a few recipes Okay? Everything else is up to me."

"Fine," Can shrugs. "I'll do that." Sanem is already coming over with the recipe options and he crosses one leg over the other, taking it from her boredly.

"You didn't tell me he was going to be like this," Deniz turns to Yigit now coming over to him in frustration, going to the table's other side to pout at his nails.

"How dare he," Sanem shakes her head, crossing her arms, trying not to smile.

"Mr Deniz, maybe you were a little aggressive with your explanation? Why don't you calm down and try again to only me?" Yigit says with a smile to placate the man.

Can watches as he pages through with a little smirk hiding just beneath the surface. Mayhem...I like it...

"I want a 70's style. A vintage photo session and feel."

"Wow, you want to take a 1970's kitchen and put it in a 2019 cook book?" Can asks with a snort and Sanem pulls her lips in.

"Good Lord," Deniz huffs annoyedly and looks away at the wall.
