I made it through class with minimal interaction with Kendall. The following two classes had Kendall's puppet, Gael, in them, although he was pretty funny.

Since I got stuck sitting with him in both classes, I made the best of it. He wasn't as annoying as Kendall with his creepy staring. He was more of a class clown.

"Do you ever take things seriously?" I asked in the fourth hour.

"It depends. Kendall is serious enough for everyone. Ares would rather fight. I prefer to go with the flow." Gael slid his hand in front of him.

"So, what's up with everyone in this school?"

"What do you mean?"

"People treat Kendall like he walks on water. He's not Jesus. I doubt he attends church."

"Kendall's old man runs this town since he's the prez of the MC here."

"That would explain it."

"Not a fan of bikers?" Gael curved his brow.

"Pft, bikers don't scare me, and bad boys don't impress me."

"You don't seem fazed about a club in town."

"If you only knew." I shrugged before turning my attention to the teacher. I didn't come here to talk about bikers or clubs. I came to finish high school without my dad's lifestyle interfering.

I slid into a seat beside Ares while he carved shapes into the desk with his knife. "What are you doing?"

"Adding some artwork to this drab desk. The classrooms could use something." Ares kept working on his carvings.

"You're a walking oxymoron, Ares."

"Do you even know what oxymoron means?"

"Do you want me to beat your ass? You're still on my shit list for what you did to Riley."

Ares stopped his carving and looked at me. "Yeah, I know. It was stupid."

"No, it was bullshit. You fucked a club girl in the clubhouse. You're lucky my dad didn't put your head through a wall."

Ares slumped in his seat and blew air past his lips. "So, how do I fix it?"

"Figure it out."

Ares looked at me, hoping I would help him.

"If you can put your dick in some hoe, you can figure out how to fix your damn mistake."

Ares grumbled about his stupidity while I devised a plan to claim Nova. She didn't know it, but she landed smack on my radar.

After fourth period, Gael showed me to the cafeteria. You had the same cast of characters that reside in every town or city. The mean girl and her wannabes spotted me and decided on round two with me. Great.

The mean girl cut in line so she could get my undivided attention. Well, that wasn't nice. Gael and I were here first.

"Do you mind? The line starts way back there." I pointed at the end of the line.

Gael snickered.

"You walked away before we finished our conversation. I wanted to show you the error of your ways." The mean girl beamed a smile.

"Our conversation bore me, so I walked away. Stay away from Kendall. He's mine. Know your place. Yada, yada, yada. Does that about sum it up?" I asked.
