Since I had to learn how to fight properly, my dad sent Harley to help me. Did I mention Aunt Raven stays in Cress's territory? How bad is this idea? Extremely.

Harley arrived, turning Kendall into the green-eyed monster since Harley was the pretty boy in the club. Ace wasn't happy that Aunt Wren was helping, and he couldn't get near her. Cress threatened to shoot off anyone's dick if they interfered with my training because of their bullshit issues.

For the next few hours, Harley guided me through various fighting techniques, teaching me how to take down my opponent. Kendall would growl when Harley touched me, making Harley laugh.

"What's so funny?" Kendall asked.

"That your jealousy is showing." Harley chuckled.

Kendall narrowed his eyes to a slit. "Want to test your theory, pretty boy?"

The corner of Harley's mouth kicked up. "Sure. Why not?"

Annoyance surged through Cress while I stood beside Aunt Wren. Blaze and Gallic monitored the situation so shit didn't go south. Doubtful, since my dad trained Harley to fight.

Kendall and Harley faced off before Kendall lunged at Harley. Harley dodged Kendall's attacks and showed my mate the error of his ways. Aunt Wren and I found a place to sit since the alpha males were duking it out. Aunt Wren opened the cooler she brought and grabbed a bag of barbecue chips and drinks for us.

"What is with guys? Why do they feel the need to challenge other guys? It's like they beat on their chests and claim we're theirs," I said, enjoying my snack.

"It's the alpha mentality. They want to prove they can protect their women," Aunt Wren said.

"Or they're a jealous beast."

"That, too."

We munched on chips and drank pop while Kendall and Harley fought until we had a slight interruption.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Aunt Raven shouted.

Harley turned his head and got clocked by Kendall before Kendall jumped on Harley and beat the shit out of him.

"Kick his ass!" Aunt Raven told Kendall before joining Aunt Wren and me on the ground. She dug through the cooler and grabbed the Cheetos.

"Hey, get your own snacks," Aunt Wren said.

"You have the best snacks." She popped a Cheeto into her mouth and shrugged.

"What are you doing here?"

"Enjoying Harley getting his ass handed to him." She smirked.

Aunt Wren rolled her eyes. "Hawk sent Harley to train Nova since Harley taught her how to fight."

"Like I give a shit what Hawk does. Hawk can kiss my furry ass."

"Raven, you have no one to blame but yourself."

"I'm missing something," I interrupted their squabbling. "What did my dad do?"

Aunt Raven opened her mouth.

Aunt Wren held up her palm to stop her and looked at me. "Hawk told Raven she couldn't attend any club parties until she was eighteen. She chose to ignore your dad's order and hooked up with Harley."

"Wait. What?" I glanced between my aunts.

Aunt Raven clenched her jaw and glared at Aunt Wren.

"Hawk told Harley to stay away from Raven until she turned eighteen. But your aunt couldn't listen and chose to defy your dad. If she had waited, she would have realized Harley was her mate."
