Harry and I walked into school, hand in hand. He was more than happy to go along with the plan. According to him, girls were going to want him more if they thought we were dating. He was already cute enough, he didn't need this but I'm glad that he accepted.
Angie walked by my other side, desperately trying not to laugh. Her job was to get the new rumor around. More like confirming that Harry and I were dating.
She got it started three days ago. By now, mostly everyone had heard about it. They were actually believing it.
"Look at all these guys staring at me as if they want to beat me up, only because they think we're together," Harry loved the attention.
"Yeah but look at all the girls who are checking you out," I pointed out. A grin appeared on his face. Oh yeah, he was really enjoying it.
We were then stopped by no other than Tony. His arms were crossed as he stepped right in front of us.
"That's just cold," he glanced at our hands. He looked at Harry, "Dude, I thought we were friends," he complained. He then turned to me, "And I thought we had a thing."
He needed to quit playing.
"Tony, you know we never had a thing," I air quoted with my free hand.
"And dude, we are friends," Harry replied to him.
"If we were friends then you wouldn't be hooking up with the girl I love," Tony argued.
Harry laughed, really thinking that was funny.
"Dude, you don't love her," Harry laughed.
"Yes, I do!" Tony claimed confidently. Then invaded some of Harry's personal space, almost wanting to hit him.
"That's enough, boys," I pushed Tony back and pulled Harry closer towards me.
They weren't going to fight, not even if I ordered them to. Either way, I had to end the show here. People were starting to watch us and closing up on us.
"Let's get some breakfast," Angie said to us before shoving Tony out of the way.
Good idea, I thought.
Just as we were walking away from the small and unimportant drama, I saw Mia walking down the hallway. Although, she was not alone. Ms. Damon was walking by her side. Smiling... in a flirtatious manner?
Seeing that upset me. Especially when Ms. Damon slightly brushed her hand on Mia's arm. That was obviously flirting right there. Just by the little touch and giggle, that teacher was flirting with Mia. She liked her. I could tell.
"I know what you're thinking," Angie whispered to me. "Riley, look away, people are going to notice that you're jealous," she pinched me. Ouch! She did not have to do that!
"Dude but did you see how Ms. Damon was all touchy-feely with her?" I was in shock.
"Yes but I also saw how Ms. LoVecchio didn't even pay attention to it," she tried clearing my mind from intrusive thoughts. "And you know why? Because she only has eyes for you," she elbowed my ribs and smiled.
"I know," a smile made its way to my lips. There was no problem there. Mia loved me and I knew that perfectly. Ms. Damon was the one who worried me. I didn't want her flirting with my girl.

When I walked into second period, I noticed that there was someone else instead of Mia. One of the staff members was in her place. First thing I did was panic.
My main guess was that Mia was in trouble because of the rumors. My plan of faking a relationship with Harry was not working. People probably thought I was a slut for hooking up with the both of them.
