Third Person P.O.V
Marilyn sat across from Mia. A blanket was placed on the table. Food had been brought as well but the guards did not permit that to be given to Mia. Marilyn tried of course but it was not allowed, unfortunately. Especially since Mia was starving.
Mia felt the material of the blanket, it was so soft and clean. Unlike the worn out blankets that had been given to them by the guards, which appeared to be more like long cleaning rags.
"Thank you," Mia appreciated the kind gesture from Marilyn. She could already feel the softness against her body throughout the cold nights. "How's Riley?" it's what she worried about the most. Ever since last week when Mike told her about Riley's head injury, she hadn't been able to stop thinking about her.
"She's the same," Marilyn answered. "Although, now she has a patch on her head injury," she added.
"Who's with her right now?" Mia wanted to know everything. Even though she could not do anything, she at least wanted to be informed.
"Angie and Harry," Marilyn somewhat made a face while saying Harry's name. Then cracked a smile. "You should see him, he hides in the corner of the room, too afraid to get too close to Riley," she found it amusing.
Mia chuckled slightly, "Harry sure is something."
Their laughter fizzled out. Silence filled the room. Marilyn searched for a topic. Mia did too. Their only common interest was Riley. It seemed like the world revolved around her. Any other subject died quickly. While talking about Riley, it could last an eternity.
"Mia, Carter and Mike are looking for Ms. Damon," Marilyn then found something to speak about. Mia tuned in, hoping for good news. "Unfortunately, she doesn't want to speak to them," Marilyn lamented. "Carter will find other solutions though," Marilyn gave hope. Though by now, Mia was losing it all. "Soon, you'll be by Riley's side again," she smiled to make her feel better.
Hearing that actually caused Mia to smile. "You mean, you give us permission to be together?" her eyes glowed.
Marilyn nodded, "Of course. Separating the both of you would be a mistake," she reassured. This made Mia's day. Now she had something to look forward to. At least she could base her happiness on that for the remaining of the day.
"Thank you, you have no idea how happy this makes me," Mia already felt like tearing up. "Really. Thank you," she let her happy tears flow down her face. Marilyn felt good for giving her some happiness. She knew that her daughter would appreciate it as well.

Emery stared at Mia. Examined her orange jumpsuit. More than sad, it was awkward to see her sister locked up. Especially for what she was being charged with. Emery knew that it was a false accusation. Mia wouldn't ever dare take advantage of anyone else, especially not of a minor.
"So, what has your lawyer said?" Emery wondered. During the whole week that Mia had been in jail, this was the first time that Emery visited her.
"Not much," Mia shrugged. "He's working on it though," she added. Tell her about Riley. Mia was gaining the courage to. To finally tell her about the relationship between her and Riley. As much as she wanted, she feared Emery's reaction. After all, she was her younger sister and deeply cared about her. She did not want to hurt her.
"You'll be let out soon, right?" Emery assumed. Or at least hoped for.
Mia ran a hand through her hair, "I doubt it," she shrugged. "There's evidence," she air quoted. "Made up evidence," she rephrased. Confused, Emery closed her eyes for two seconds. She had a puzzled expression. "The student who accused me, convinced another teacher to testify against me," she elaborated.
