The principal's face was bright red, he was furious. This was our doom. Now that he had us all in his office, he let out all his anger.
Berry, Aaron, Calvin, Monica, Marlene, and I had our heads down. Waited for him to finish. Basically just nodded, pretending to understand. Hoped for that to end it all.
"You escaped punishment yesterday but not today," the principal slammed his hand on his long and thick wooden desk.
Weren't his screams punishment enough?
"Are we getting suspended?" Marlene feared.
The principal laughed, mockingly. "No, that would be like a day off," uh-oh, what did he have in mind? "None of you are allowed to attend the school dance next week," he punished.
"That's not fair!" Monica stood on her feet.
The principal's eyes widened, in shock to see her react like that. It should've been expected.
"The only thing that we did wrong was ditch, and punishment for that is suspension," I argued.
"The only thing? What about in Ms. Damon's class? You disrupted her class and humiliated her," he lectured.
"Is that what she said?" I shook my head in disbelief. That bitch! I wanted to slap her across the face.
The principal sighed.
"I will not argue with a bunch of disrespectful students," he looked tired. "Leave now," he dismissed us, practically kicking us out.
"And we will not argue with an old man," I murmured under my breath. Luckily, he didn't hear.
Well that was it, no dance for us. Like if it mattered. It's not like I was planning on going anyways. If I couldn't go with Mia then I was not interested in it at all.

Harry and Angie were throwing pieces of food at each other. Here and there, I'd open my mouth widely, testing who could actually aim into it.
So far, Harry was winning.
"Did you make up with M?" Angie asked me before tossing a piece of chicken at Harry's face. It bounced off his nose.
"You guys are arguing again?" he couldn't care less about the chicken.
I nodded, "Unfortunately."
"Because of the other hot teacher?" must he refer to her as that?
"That bitch is coming between us but in a very sneaky way," I groaned.
Ms. Damon probably cried her eyes out to Mia yesterday. There was no doubt, she made herself appear like the victim. Yes, my classmates and I screwed up in our own way. We should've handled things differently. Ms. Damon provoked us though. Both sides were at fault. Not just us, like they were making it out to seem.
"Riley, talk to M. Don't let your jealousy get to you though," Angie advised. "You love her, don't lose her because of something so stupid."
I guess Angie was right. Mia and I needed to talk things over.
"Riley, honestly, lately you've been a little out of line," Harry spoke in all seriousness. "And I think that's your way of releasing stress from what you're going through at home," he gave his opinion.
"Are you a therapist now?" I laughed it off.
His serious expression remained.
"Why are you avoiding it?" he asked. "It's okay, you can talk about it with us," he offered support.
