Shen Wei sat relaxing on top of the bed, resting his back against the headboard as he watched the trouble look on Yunlan's face become deeper in his silence. He was worried about the safety of his staff now that the owner of the contract had shown himself and he was as capable as Shen Wei.
"Speak to me A-Lan, what is it that troubles you so much, I can see it in your face, maybe I canhelp."
"Xaio Wei, if only you could, how do I protect my staff against someone I can't even defeat?" and Yunlan looked up towards Wei from his lying position on the bed beside him.
"Now that his loose ends are gone, he won't be back at your office unless he wants to knowsomething and he can't afford to draw attention to himself, so he won't kill. He could use other skills to find out what he wants to know and your staff can't tell him anything, so he might leavethem alone. He's more likely to approach someone closer to you."
The sound of cars arriving encouraged Yunlan to move from the bed and glance out of the window, Chu's car, Lin Jing's and Da Qing, they were all there and he moved Wei's wheelchair closer to the bed to help transfer him, but Wei stopped him.
"No need my love, just hold on and I'll take you down to the other one before Gelan lets our visitors into the reception hall."
Yunlan held Wei's hands as he stood in front of him seated on the edge of the bed and felt the floor move under his feet, then become firm again. When he looked around, they were in the library where the other chair had been left a few days ago. Yunlan pushed Wei through to meet Lin Jing, the only one who didn't know him and he extended his hand in welcome, feeling the slight push of Jing's resting telepathy skill, and he smiled. When he had the chance to speak to Yunlan on his own, Wei stopped him to ask about Lin Jing's gift.
"Did you know he was telepathic Yunlan?"
"What? No! How?" He replied in shock, he had no idea.
Gelan guided everyone through to the downstairs dining room and they gathered around the large table before the meeting commenced. The guards joined them because they were also involved and it would make it easier if everyone knew why they were going to the mountain. Yunlan stood and started off the discussion but made a couple of ground rules first.
"Some of us are not telepathic, so for the sake of politeness and manners, no one will communicate through telepathy. Secondly, if you don't understand anything raise your hand and ask, there may be a few instances where that could occur.." and Yunlan took a break to look at all the faces around the table. Shen Wei nodded for him to continue.
"For Lin Jing's benefit, I will explain why we are going to Mount Kunlun. Shen Wei has some severe injuries that can be healed in the mountains with his guards help. Its called a Power Transfer, they will give him some of their life power to replace his, making it possible for him to heal his own injuries, the same way he repaired mine. I have never seen this but Chu and Da Qing and I believe Gelan have witnessed this ritual before, any questions Lin Jing?"
