Endless Love.

Part 10

Yunlan sat beside Wei on the floor of the library ignoring the pain in his ankles, watching for any sign that would tell him that Wei was alright. He sent the whip to open his front door by what ever means it could, he would fix any damage later on, and waited for Chu to arrive.

The library was quiet and cold compared to the memory that was running around in his mind, the heat of the fire, and the noise of wood crackling as it gained power, and the flames creeping closer to his feet, and the smoke creating a dense fog, and Stop, he told himself, as he clenched his shaking hands, trying to forget and took a deep breath in to calm himself.

He heard the car's engine and Chu's footsteps as he approached running, but not surprised to see the whip wrapped around one of his wrists and dragging him here. He ran towards Yunlan and stared at both of them, especially the burns on their ankles, explaining that the team knew that he was missing but had no idea where to search to find him.

"Look after Shen Wei first and I'll explain, he has amnesia, therefore he doesn't know that he's Black Robe or has any power... We were kidnapped and dumped in the middle of a deserted forest, and left to die. Our coffee was drugged, Wei drank a couple of mouthfuls, and I didn't, so they knocked me out. We were in a lodge that caught fire, and I convinced him to think of my library, because that's where we wanted to be, and he did it... but he's still unconscious..."

Chu listened while he examined Wei for any other injuries apart from the obvious and looked at his head wound, eventually ripping his trousers away at the his knees to examine the extent of the burns. Relieved that Yunlan knew about Black Robe, making it easier if there were no secrets.

"Can you walk, I can carry My Lord up to a bedroom if you can walk and follow me." Chu asked Yunlan.

"Take him to my room, the whip will lead you and I'll be a bit slower but I'll follow."

Chu lifted Shen Wei easily from the floor and waited for the whip which flew at him and secured itself to his right wrist, guiding him upstairs to the correct bedroom, while Yunlan tried to stand, finding out how painful and difficult it was going to be. He struggled to put his weight on his feet which were both badly burnt when they were standing on the bed, and realised that it was easier to sit on the floor and slide across it like a baby, he bummed across the floor and made his way up the stairs, one step at a time.

Chu carefully cleaned and treated Shen Wei's burns, and searched Yunlan's cupboards where he found clean clothes to fit after washing him, and gently placed him in the large double bed. Then when he had finished, he headed for the stairs knowing that Yunlan would be struggling with the pain of walking, and found out that he had dragged himself along the floor and had reached the last corridor, before he lifted him and carried him to the bedroom, placing him on the long sofa where he could watch Shen Wei. Chu helped Yunlan to remove his trousers and examined his legs and ankles, which were just as bad as Shen Wei's and he started to clean and apply dressings while he spoke to Yunlan.
