Yunlan didn't know how long it would take the next team of soldiers to get here from the doorway, he just knew that they would come and he had to try and strengthen Chu's strings against that weapon or it would be the end for them. Kunlun had been very quiet in the watch, he was running scenarios through his computer brain and not having much success.
Gelan had made them all something to eat and included energy drinks in her menu, knowing that they wouldn't have time to slow down to eat once the attack started because there definitely was going to be an attack. These soldiers were all drugged and obeyed whatever orders they were given, or died if they failed. The Assassin Drug had been destroyed in this world but not in Yezun's and if they could eliminate the lunatic Ouyang Zhen, it would cease to exist. It was produced in his laboratory with forced samples given to all his workforce, most of them were kidnap victims who had lost the will to live after their first doze.

Yunlan stood up and waited, thinking, 'well it was worth a try' and watched as the soldiers approached the halfway mark, they were stronger than the previous group and he called on the rest of his team to come away from the edge and join him.
