2018 (part 2)

"Let us run through this again."
"Sure."
"Welcoming drinks and bouquets?"
"Done."
"Mr. Lee is aware that he needs to be there welcoming the guests?"
"He is well aware and he will be reaching here in about 20 minutes."
"He's still at home?"
"No, he's just finishing up a meeting with one of the vendors at office."
"Okay, because these people are too egoistic as I've heard of and Mr. Lee should be there being the project manager."
"How about the powerpoint presentation?"
"All prepared and reviewed."
"I hope Mr. Lee has done the correct thing to assign this to the newcomers."
"I think so too, Mr. Gong. I've worked with Namjoon and Jackson in one small project about a year back. Both are quite talented, specially the taller one."
"Hmm. Let's hope for the best then."

A man of Chinese origin in his mid-twenties was strolling through the conference room checking the powerpoint slides from time to time. A click on the door made him turn back to find his teammate enter into the room with a small device in hand.

"What's that, Namjoon-ah?"
"Last minute improvisation." Namjoon said with a smirk.
"What!!! No!! We can't do that, Lee will kill us!" Jackson's face turned into a halloween pumpkin.
"I had some doubts in the slide number 15, then I found this pen-drive which contains the PPT I prepared as per the initial plan. I'm pretty sure this will enhance the plan."
"Are you sure? I overheard the conversation between the event manager and our Senior Manager that Lee will be reaching this place shortly."
"Just trust me Wang, it's worth the shot."

The guests arrived who are a the new supposed client to their company. A lot of things were depending on this single conference. It was a project with a deal for just two years, but the budget ranged in billions of Korean Won. Mr. Lee Dong-wook was supposed to be the leading the project as the manager while Mrs. Gong Yoo would be the senior manager handling all the matters from the managerial end.

There were two gentlemen, one dressed in brown suits while the other one chose to be in black. What caught everyone's attention was that a female employee was the head of the project from the client side. She was a beautiful woman in mid fifties, dressed in formal beige coloured pant suits, short wedge cut black hair with few silver strands peeking. She had a good height of a woman but the brown coloured formal stilettos were making her appear taller. She can be called like an epitome of class.

"Hello Ms. Park, it's really an honour to meet you." Yoo bowed in front of her as she seemed to be quite senior to him. The same courtesy was shown by Dong-wook and the other employees including Namjoon and Jackson.
"I'm glad to be here Mr. Gong. Me and my team are looking forward to this deal." Ms. Park greeted back. She was led to the conference room after some introductory session with the employees.

"Is she the CEO or something?" Jackson asked his friend in whispering tone.
"No, she's the managing director of KMP Industries. She'll be leading this project from client end." Namjoon informed in a similar tone.
"I have to admit her fashion sense is too good for her age."
"I'm getting cold feet here for the presentation and you are focusing on her style?" Now it was a whisper yell.
"Don't, you will nail it. Even if I get stuck somewhere, I know my work bestie will help me out." Jackson's fake innocent eye blinking cringed Namjoon to the core.

The presentation went significantly well as anticipated by Dong-wook who had more faith on Namjoon's work than on himself. Jackson did mess a little but his teammate was there to take care of it. Dong-wook was surprised to see the modifications done in slide number 15, but didn't mind anything as it was particularly praised by Ms. Park whose full name happens to be Park Rika as was mentioned in her introduction.
