2019 (part 2)

Continuous meetings, last minute rush, details to the presentations filled Namjoon's daily schedule. Sometimes, he would even have to work during the weekends to meet the deadlines. On the other hand, Jungkook's life wasn't any better. He was too busy in his training, giving his best effort, concentrating to learning. The only time they would spend together was having breakfast and dinner, and sleeping at night after the exhausting work days. Still they were grateful for having each other's company during those times.

"Joon, I have some exciting news today." Jungkook said stirring the chicken stew while Namjoon was busy arranging the cutleries  on the dining table for their dinner.
"What is it Kook?"
"My training is getting completed next month and I will be getting paid in proper monthly salary as the recruiters promised in my appointment letter."
Namjoon came towards Jungkook silently and lifted him up from behind shocking the later.
"What are you doing? Put me down."
"My Kookie is going to be a chef, officially! I'm so proud of you!" Namjoon started peppering kisses on his boyfriend's cheeks who enjoyed every moment of getting pampered.

"I want to contribute in the house rent and utilities from next month. You cannot say no anymore."
"Kookie, we have already talked about this."
"No Joon, you cannot always walk out of this discussion. You have done enough for me-"
"Kook, don't you start again." Namjoon's tone got colder this time.
"Please, Joon! I know my income will still be lesser than yours, but I want to contribute too."
"Okay, let me put it this way." Namjoon paused a bit and then started sharing his idea.

"I will manage the rent and utilities for now. But, when we will move in a new house or apartment, my salary will mostly be spent on the EMI while you can pay for the groceries and utilities as we will not have to pay any rent after moving in to the new place." Jungkook thought the idea was actually pretty reasonable.
"Okay, but you cannot step back that time."
"I won't." Namjoon placed a kiss on his forehead and then enjoyed their dinner together.

It has been a discussion for quite some days that Namjoon plans to buy a bigger space for him and Jungkook, but he never revealed what big surprise he was planning for his boyfriend after purchasing the place. He shared the idea with Yoonjin and Vmin who were too excited. They all have been quite busy with their lives, but they would meet up at least once a month. Seokjin and Yoongi are a happily married couple now while Taehyung and Jimin are still enjoying their courtship.  

"You did a good job, Namjoon. I'm so proud of you, I mean we all are proud of you that you are part of this project." Ms. Park composed herself from getting too emotional on Namjoon's success. She had her reasons.
"Thank you Ms. Park." Namjoon thanked her politely.
"Bravo kiddo!"
"Good job Kim!"
"Namjoon-ah you rocked bro!"
Dong-wook, Yoo, Jackson everyone congratulated him along with other colleagues as it was the he successfully implemented a new automobile design today. It was a huge effort for his upcoming promotion.

A lunch was organised where he was not in a mood to eat as the urge to go home and tell his boyfriend about this was killing him. Suddenly he noticed a jumbo piece of crab kimbap was placed on his plate. Following the direction of the serving spoon, he found it was Ms. Park's doing.
"Oh thanks Ms. Park, but I have to apologise as I'm allergic to seafood."
"I'm so sorry Namjoon, I had no idea as you were too little when I-"
Ms. Park fumbled as she was about to say something that she's going to regret forever.
"I mean there was so little food left on your plate, so I thought-"
"Not a problem, I'm just not hungry right now." Namjoon said with a smile.
"You should celebrate this success with your parents and that boy with you in the party, your boyfriend I guess?"

Namjoon felt a tinge of shyness at the mention of his love, but replied quickly.
"Yeah, he's my boyfriend, I really want to tell him as soon as I reach home because I don't want to tell about this over phone."
"Oh so you guys stay in the same house?"
"Yeah, we do."
Ms. Park felt an unusual pain as she is missing out on so many important events of Namjoon's life.
