His Confession

2018 (part 3)

There was a small koala bear with a book in one hand and a wine glass in another. It was sitting on a chair and a laptop was kept on the table in front of the koala bear. Across the table, a bunny was sitting staring at the koala with a coffee mug in hand. The wall was painted in light shade of purple with lots of cute wall hangings on it.

"Omo! This is sooooo cute!" An enlivened female voice echoed through the silent library aisle that gained some attention of annoyed faces.
"Will you stop shouting, noona?"
"I can't keep calm, this is so cute." The pitch was lowered but the excitement was still the same in her voice.
"That's it, I'm leaving. It was a wrong choice of mine to embarrass myself." A done faced Jungkook started packing his things in the bag.
"Oh my little baby brother, you definitely needed an adult opinion of the birthday card, Kook. I cannot trust the opinion of this man child." She pointed at her boyfriend Jae-sung who was just lost in his girlfriend's words with a happy face.

"Hey! I'm not a man child." Jae-sung came back to reality at Jinah's words and protested.
"Oh you so are, my baby boo!" She pinched her boyfriend's cheeks making the boy in front cringe.
"Okay, don't get started in front of me, please!" Jungkook pleaded earning chuckles from the couple.

Namjoon's birthday was round the corner and he made a birthday card with the koala and bunny picture that he painted on his own. He knows Namjoon doesn't like expensive gifts as Jungkook is just living on the monthly allowance he receives from his parents, but the younger cannot stop himself from doing something special for his dear boyfriend. He prepared a small fruit cake and a bento box filled with delicious lunch items. He also bought a shirt for Namjoon which was not pricy but still looked beautiful, it was a navy coloured formal shirt.

Jungkook's birthday fell on weekend, so he could celebrate the same with his parents and Namjoon, but the later's birthday fell on weekday, so he couldn't celebrate it in midnight due to hostel curfew. He planned to visit his boyfriend at his office and surprise him with the lunch and gifts. He has been to his office few times, but it will be the first time that he will be going alone.

"Happy birthday Namjoon-ah!" Jackson wished his friend with a tight warm hug.
"Thanks Jackson!"
"You could have taken a leave today."
"There are two important meetings and I heard Ms. Park will be working in our office from now on. Mr. Lee asked me to submit the initial plan to her today."
"I saw her few minutes back, I think she's already in office."
"Then I better complete the submission now, she might be able to review and feedback by end of the day."
"Such a workaholic!"
Namjoon left after rolling his eyes at Jackson.

"This looks good, but there is room for improvement. But I must say this is a solid plan, Mr. Kim." Ms. Park's words of appreciation really made the boy happy.
"Call him Namjoon. He's too junior to you, Ms. Park." Gong Yoo said with a playful smile to which made Namjoon feel at ease as he is not used to honorific names from his seniors.
"Okay then, Namjoon, you have done a good job. Keep it up, dear." Ms. Park stood up from her chair to shake hands with his junior when she accidentally spilled the coffee from the paper glass on Namjoon's shirt.

"I'm so so sorry, dear. It slipped somehow. I'm so sorry!" Ms. Park didn't stop apologising even after Namjoon said it was completely fine and it will get dried up in some time.
"Wait, I have something in my bag." She took out a folded light green coloured shirt and extended her hand towards Namjoon.
"No, Ms. Park, it's not necessary. It will just take few minutes to get dried up.
"No, dear. Please change into this one."
"You don't have to bother about it, it's absolutely fine."
"Nothing to be bothered, it was already lying in my bag. You can use it."

Namjoon couldn't reject the offer as the lady was too stubborn and quite senior to him. Out of respect, he accepted it and changed in the men's washroom. He did feel a bit strange how the shirt fit him so perfectly, but didn't put much thought into it and carried on with his work.
