Chapter 34

Been a while huh? I'm really sorry, but I had kind of a writer's block. So here's a chapter for you guys. I hope you enjoy and Merry Christmas!

POV: Percy

"Luna stop that! No I don't care that she started it, stop hitting your sister!", Lisa yelled as she came to greet me at the door. "Hello, Percy here to pick up Estelle I see"
"Yeah, how are you doing right now?", I asked her jokingly, eying the toddler whom she held at the moment. She was pulling her hair, and then started slapping her face.
"Alright", she said trying to duck away from the girls little hands.

In that moment a bang came from the back room where she just came from and someone started crying. "Oh god, Percy would you mind holding Hailey for a sec? Thank you!", without waiting for my reply she shoved the little girl in my arms and hurried to check what made the noise.
Soon after I could hear a distinktiv "Bobby you don't hit Mathew like that! Your sisters gonna be here in a mater of minutes, no need to start a fight now!"

"Soo, your names Hailey?", I asked the toddler I was now holding in my arms. She nods and giggles, then starts trying to climb on my head.
"I don't know if that's the best idea", I told her but as soon as I tried to prevent her from doing so she started crying so I just let her.

"I think that girls about to fall.", a voice said from behind me. I turned so fast that I thought Hailey might actually fall off but I caught her in time. The little girl just giggled and turned to see what the commotion was all about and then laughed when she saw the blond girl that was standing in front of us, that had just entered through the door.
"Annabth!"she yelled and clapped her hands in excitement. "Hi Hailey", the girl said taking a step towards us and patted her on the head. "Percy", she added giving me a nod and smiled.
"Annabeth, what are you doing here?", I asked dumbfounded.
Not that I wasn't happy to see her of course, kind of the opposite at that actually.

"I'm here to pick up my brothers, my stepmom forced me.", she told me as she took off her hat, gloves and jacked. "This could take a while", she added.
"So is Hailey your sister?"
I quickly said: "oh no, Lisa just gave her to me to hold because she had to check on the kids, my sister is..."
"Percy!!!!!!", a little girl ran foreword and hugged my knees. "Thats my sister", I told her and then turning my attention back to Estelle. "Hi Estelle, how was your day?", I asked the little girl bending down to her height.
In the meantime Lisa had shown up again and plucked Hailey from my head.

"Annabeth!", Lisa sighed with relief, "Bobby and Mathew have already been expecting you"
Annabeth smiled at the woman and with an apologetic expression on her face.
"Sorry bout that, I was visiting a friend in the hospital. I hone the haven't been that much of a burden."
"Nothing to worry, I'll get them for ya", Lisa told her and walked away once more. "Who's that?", Estelle whispered loud enough for Annabeth to hear but she kindly pretended like she hadn't done so.
"That's Annabeth, she's a friend of mine", I said back in the same vocal range. I could see her trying to hide a smile behind her hand, still acting like she wasn't listening.

"Ohhh, is she the one you keep talking abou...."
"Okay that's enough", I quickly shushed her. I heard a sound from behind and turned to see Annabeth laughing so hard she almost cried. When she saw this Estelle started giggling too.
"You're sisters really cute", Annabeth whispered in my ear once she recovered from her laughing fit.
"I know, but also really annoying", I said back.

Meanwhile Estelle had walked over to Annabeth and looked up at her with wide eyes. "You're really pretty!", she told her still standing there in awe. Then she turned to me and asked: "isn't she pretty Percy?"
"Yes very pretty", I answered truthfully. I glanced in Annabeth's Direktion just in time to see her smile and the blush that had crept up her cheeks.
"Thank you, you're pretty too", Annabeth said bending down still smiling.
"I'm Annabeth what's your name?"

"She's really nice", Estelle said from the back of the car. We had just left daycare and we're headed home. "Who, Lisa?", I asked her, though I had a feeling she wasn't the one meant by the statement.
"Noho", Estelle giggled, "I mean Annabet"
"She really is huh?", I replied innocently. "You like her"
"What?", I asked abruptly holting at a read light.
"You like Annabet don't you?", Estelle asked grinning cheekily. "I refuse to answear that question", I told her. When did four year olds become so clever? Like it's not that obvious.

After a while of silence in the car Estelle spoke up again: "Percy?" "Mhm?" "Are you mad at me?", she asked quietly. "No, of course not, why would you think that?", I asked her surprised. "Well because of what I said before, with you liking Annabet"
I laughed and told her: "that was nothing don't worry"
"Great, so can I ask you a question?", she asked giddily. "Sure, what's up?"
"Is Annabet a Princess?" I had to laugh at that, was Annabeth a princess? Not in the sense that Estelle thought, no. But to me? To me she certainly was a princess, if not a queen.
So I told my little sister: "Yes. Yes I think you could say she's a princess"

Maybe I shouldn't have told her that cause later that day she came running at mom and Paul yelling that she had met a princess. At that moment just raised an eyebrow at me and I shrugged.
Note to myself: Don't ever tell your little sister anything no matter how cute she is.
