The girls and I (minus Karen, because he's with Aaron) were watching The Vampire Diaries Season 1 on Netflix. We've watched The Vampire Diaries so much because Selyn had this slight obsession about it.

Since Season 6 weren't aired on Netflix yet, we decided to re-watch Season 1. I was getting real bored though, because we've been sitting here for the whole day, and Zoe and Selyn were really into it.

So, for the the first time since 9 hours of watching The Vampire Diaries, I decided to check my phone. I wasn't surprised when I saw 21 texts and 8 missed calls, most of them were probably from my mom. I checked my texts first, and replied to a few.

I can feel the heat on my cheeks and soon as I read his last text. Thankfully Zoe and Selyn didn't notice this, or else they would ask me what's going on, and I can never lie to them. I decided to reply his texts later and go check the other ones.

Mom:

darling, please answer your calls.

My eyes widened, my mom never called my name, even when she was angry. I immediately checked the missed calls and turned out that my mom called me 7 times and Selyn's mom called me once.

Well that was weird. I was really close with his mom, but she never called me before. Without spending more time, I quickly stood up from the cushion with my phone.

"Fucking move, you're blocking my view," Zoe mumbled, as she pushed my butt with her foot.

"Shut up, Zoe," Selyn hissed, before looking up at me, "Where are going?" She asked.

"My mom's calling me,' I told her, "Be right back."

Selyn nodded and continued watching. I quickly walked out of the room and dialled my mom's number. She immediately answered her phone, like she was waiting for me to call all this time.

"Mom?" I spoke worriedly, "Is everything alright?" I began pacing back and forth.

"Sweetie," My mom's voice trembled, breaking my heart as I heard her voice, "Listen, I need you to help me out," She sighed.

"I'll do anything mom," I told her, "What's wrong?" I took a breath, as my stomach flipped a hundred times.

There was a long pause, and all I can here was my mom's heavy breathing and a sudden ambulance siren coming from far away.

"Mom..." I called out, "Please tell me you're not hurt," A tear slipped out from my eye with the thought of my mom getting injured.

"No, I'm not," I can hear that she's crying now, "But your dad is," She choked, making my body shake.

"Dad?" I gasped, placing my hand on my lips.

"He got into an accident with Selyn's parents, and he has major brain damage." She told me, her voice cracking in the end.
