I looked out the big window in front of me and saw the most beautiful sunset. My phone pinged and I looked down to see a text message from Levi.
'We're all heading to a party. R u coming with us?'
I sigh, 'No, I'm studying in the school library. I'll txt u when I'm home'
'Ok, let me know if u need anything'
'Thx I will. Be safe,'
I put my phone down and plugged in my head phones, opening my text book. Finals were coming up and I didn't want to bomb them. I've been keeping up with my grades as best as I could while trying to find a job. These couple of weeks have been strange, I've gotten closer to Miles during our study sessions and I'm not sure if I should be comfortable with that or not. I still hate him though. Flynn and I have been alright, I guess. He's been busy working and doing these art projects that we've barely have time for each other. I occusionally sneak into his room and cuddle with him at night.
About a few hours had gone by and I hadn't realized it was 10 p.m. I leave my things at desk I'm at and ask a girl who was near by to watch my things. She politely said yes and I thanked her before heading to the only place opened on campus which was the coffee shop. I grabbed two cups of coffee and scones for me and the girl who kindly said she'd watch my things. I get back to my desk and give her a coffee and scones. She was delighted and thanked me before returning back to her studies.
Just as I was about to start studying again, my phone started to vibrate. I look at the caller I.D. and it was Archie. I quickly made my way out of the library and answered him.
'hello?'
'Julia! I need you to come pick us up!' He said in a panic.
'What? Where? What's wrong Archie?'
He was panting and seemed out of breath, 'There's been an accident'
'An accident? Archie what happened? Is everyone okay?'
'No. Julia please come get us, it's Levi'
My heart was pounding out of chest and it suddenly felt hard to breath.
'Send me the address, I'm on my way' I say before hanging up.
Rushing back inside, I quickly pack my belongings and run out to my truck. I tap the message Archie sent with the address and put into the GPS. I drove as fast as I could to the location, breaking all the laws of driving safety. I pulled up location to see Levi's wrecked car. It was in a lamp post with smoke coming out of it and see the boys run up to my truck.
"What happened?" I panically asked.
Archie was out of breath, "They took L-Levi in the a-ambulance,"
My heart started to race. "Get in," I demanded. They all hop in and I realized while I was driving a girl in the back seat. I was too focused on the road and anxious to ask who she was.
