I had just got home from visiting Levi, and I was exhausted. I'd been up since 4:30 am, trying to finish my twenty-five-page report that I forgot about. The time read 8:30 pm, and I dragged myself up the stairs and into my room. Luckily, Levi comes home in a few days, and I can stop driving to the hospital.
The sound of my alarm filled my head, and I grumbled, turning it off. I sighed deeply, not wanting to get up. Eventually, after fifteen minutes of contemplating whether to skip class, I got up. Showered, brushed hair, and dressed.
I popped in some coffee and made myself a bagel. I got my things and left for school with Archie, along with Miles riding with me. Since then, Flynn hasn't given rides anymore. I wonder why...not really.
Archie ran out of the truck once I parked.
"What's his rush?" I turn to the backseat, asking Miles.
"Something about a test," He shrugged before pulling out a cigarette and a lighter.
"Excuse me, there's no smoking in my truck. Take it outside," I shoo him away.
He rolled his eyes, "You're so dramatic,"
"No, I'm not. Did you know that smoking is a high risk for all diseases? Or have you not been paying attention in class?" I give him some sass.
"Who the fuck are you, Ms. Know it all or what?" He taunts.
I lean over and take the cigarette out of his hand.
"Julia," He warned.
I snapped it in half and tossed it at him. "I said no smoking," I cheerfully said and dusted my hands off. He was in utter shock, and I got out of the truck and closed the door.
I gripped my backpack tightly as I walked to class.
"Julia!" I heard someone calling me from behind.
I turn around to see Miles, pissed off. I smirked and kept walking, ignoring his calls. Suddenly, my backpack was yanked, and I was pulled into a dark room.
I couldn't see anything until a light revealed Mile's face. Looking behind him were cleaning supplies, which equaled the janitor's closet.
"What the hell, Miles!" I push him.
"Just shut up. First off, you broke my last cigarette, so you're buying me more. Second, meet me for lunch on the lawn in front of the art building,"
"I'm not buying you anything, and why?" I cross my arms over my chest. He stepped closer, "Yes, you are, and because Flynn is in that building. I might have overheard that he's working on a project," His jaded eyes locked with mine.
"So the plan is to make him jealous by hanging out in front of his building?" I ask.
"Sort of, just leave class five minutes early, and we'll meet there," He tells me.
