Chapter 2 - Rude awakenings

urgh I groaned.
There was a buzzing sound coming from somewhere. My head hurts.

What time is it? I thought to myself. I reached for my phone but was met with nothing. I jolted awake, memories of last night flooding my head.

I sat up and evaluated my surroundings. I was in a super rich persons bedroom. I sat up and saw a light flashing above the door.

I got up and walked towards the door. I opened it and peeked out into the really long smooth looking white hallway. There were three more doors with three other people sharing the same confused look as me.

They all looked around my age, maybe a bit older.

There was a brunette boy. He was cute. He had blue eyes and was quite muscular. Across from him was a blonde girl. She was pretty, and seemed nice. I watched as they exchanged awkward glances.

I quickly looked away, a pair of emerald eyes met mine. He was blonde and gorgeous. He had a nose ring, and perfect plump pink lips. He towered over me. His blonde hair sat just above his eyes.

He lifted his neck slightly, still leaning on the door. I broke our prolonged eye contact, letting my eyes roam over his body.

Tattoos scattered his hands and arms. A bird on his right wrist caught my attention. Next to it leading down his pinky read 'never let them weigh you down'.

I looked back up at him, he was still staring at me, studying me.

I quickly looked away feeling my cheeks getting hot.

We heard the clicking of shoes coming down the hall.

"Morning." A tall skinny balding man exclaimed, full of energy.

"You may all be wondering what is going on." He began, with a displeasing British accent.

"I have removed you from your ordinary lives and gathers you all here to be part of something ...extraordinary.

Over the last few months, I have noticed, unpredictable, unexplainable weather phenomena.

Unexplainable, till now.

I have nailed the cause down to you four.

I'm pretty sure you all aware of your powers but just can't control them. You each control one of the four elements and I have brought you here to help you control and understand your powers" he stated in one breath.

Silence.

"Follow me" he said, turning sharply on his heal.

With hesitation and a few shared glances we reluctantly followed him down the hall. We turned into a huge room, with weapons, obstacles, suits and training equipment.

"This is the training room. Where we will train your physical abilities;we start tomorrow. Over here..."
He said, while leading us to the room across the hall
"We will train your mental abilities and teach you how to fully control and understand your powers."

The room was like a classroom, with a whiteboard and desk at the front, and four chairs positioned on the other side of the room. But the chairs,unlike a classroom, were high tech and there was a drop down smart board at the back of the room.

"Down the hall there is a lounge, where you will probably spend most of your evenings, it contains a tv, gaming consoles, vending machine, board games, and a karaoke machine."

"Like an arcade." the blonde girl said with a small smile.

I smiled at her remark, while the tall brunette boy chuckled with a hint of admiration in his eyes. The other just stood there with a blank expression on his face.

"I suppose" the professor continued.

"Across from there is the kitchen. Down stairs we have a pool, cinema and basketball court. Outside we have a hot tub, second basketball court and a 4g pitch. Up stairs is where the lab and research department are. It is also where me and my colleagues stay.

I am Dr. Albert Boyd, but you can call me Bert, and my other colleagues are Linda and George.

I will help you train mentally, Linda mostly works in the lab and George works with the physical training.
