Andrew's POV.
Suddenly the masked man's face appeared on the screen.
Liberty screamed.I felt Maddison jolt as she latched onto my arm. I tensed under her touch. I decided to keep my eyes on the screen not minding our closeness.
Earlier, I could see her fighting away sadness and I felt bad, but I brushed it off. Why should I care if I made her upset.
The tension died down and she removed her arm from my bicep. Once the movie finished Liberty turned the lights back on.
I groaned from the sharp feeling of the bright light burning my eyes.
Liberty bounced up with too much energy.
"Okay guys we are going to play a game" liberty said as she guided us to the sleeping bags, under the nicely decorated fort.
We began to play their stupid game of truth or dare.
Maddison's POV.
12:34
I lay on my stomach on top of my sleeping bag, casually browsing Netflix.
After a couple hours of dares and boring truths Liberty and Noah fell asleep; sprawled out like starfish. I glanced to my right. Andrew had his back facing me, I assumed he was asleep.
"So much for all nighter"I mumbled to myself. I wasn't really that tired but didn't want to wake anyone. I decided to get a cup of water feeling thirsty.
I made my way upstairs reaching the quiet kitchen. Everything stood still. I turned on the light, the room glowed softly. As I reached for the glass I felt two strong arms wrap around my arms and waist viciously, lifting me slightly off the ground.
I felt my heart drop into my stomach as my soul left my body. After watching that horror movie I was very jumpy.
My jaw fell preparing to let out a scream when a hand reached my mouth. My eyebrows shifted into a frown.
I balled my fists ready to ignite a flame when I met the pair of green eyes. I tilted my head further to the side, getting a full view of Andrew.
He stood, with a smirk on his face, a glint of amusement danced across his eyes. My face softened with relief. He dropped his hand, sensing my fear leaving.
My relief was soon overcome with anger.
"What the fuck man" I said pushing him away from me. He moved back slightly, his smirk growing bigger. "don't scare me like that." I continued with a frown on my face.
Our eyes locked as he tried to hold back a smile, suppressing a laugh.
I rolled my eyes remembering his earlier harsh words. I didn't reply turning back to get some water. As I was filling up my glass, I noticed Andrew leaning on the counter watching me. His eyes burned my skin, analysing my every move.
I was convinced he had a staring problem. I quietly drank my water then cleaned and put the glass away.
"I thought you were asleep" I uttered turning back to face him. He looked down at me with a curious expression. He relaxed his face again, taking in a dramatic breath.
"I tried but the floor isn't comfortable" he said while smirking.
"Looked pretty comfortable to me — princess" I replied, raising my eyebrow with a smirk.
He rolled his eyes, the corner of his lip turned up slightly.
Silence resonated in the air for a few moments.
"What should we do?" I inquired, locking eyes with Andrew. He visibly began thinking about it.
"Arcade." He stated with a shrug. He got up and began exiting the room, I followed hurriedly behind him, not wanting to be in the dark by myself.
We reached the arcade room and began playing. We played foosball, racing, darts, mini basketball and eventually bowling to break the tie.
"I win." He says with a smirk spread across his face.
"That doesn't count, you sabotaged me!"
"don't be upset just cause your bad" he said in a condescending tone, a grin plastered across his lips, allowing his dimples to show.
I rolled my eyes trying not to laugh.
"Okay seeing as you're just desperate to stay up with me, why don't we try pool." He suggested with a playful smile.
"I am not 'desperate' to stay up with you" I air-quoted "and I'm gonna win" I stated. Ignoring the fact I've never played pool before I nudged past him, making sure to hit his arm.
I heard a light chuckle as he joined me at the pool table. I grabbed the sticks passing one to him.
"Go first" I commanded. It looked simple enough I thought to myself.
"If you say so." He swiftly moved around the table using his stick to hit the white ball. All the balls scattered, two of them going in. He continued hitting them — five of them went in.
He stepped back crossing his arms allowing his biceps to flex. He frowned giving me a curious expression.
"Oh right" I let out realising it was my turn. I copied his previous stance: taking the stick in my hand, I lent down. I pulled back about to hit the white ball when a chuckle stopped me.
I glanced over, my gaze meeting his. He raised his hand to his mouth hiding his smile.
"what.?" I stated bluntly, standing up.
"You're holding it backwards." He replied with amusement.
I felt heat rise to my cheeks. " Yeah I know,I was just stretching." I rolled my eyes, trying to play it off I returned to my previous position.
I flipped the stick around to the 'correct' side. I moved my arms back again.
I felt his presence behind me.
He placed his hands over mine on each end of the pole. I felt his abs and chest against my back.
"You're doing it wrong" he chuckled lowly into my ear. I felt his body vibrate against mine. He adjusted my posture. He draws back the stick with my right hand. I felt his groin push against my bum.
Sexual tension grew as we remained still for a moment, watching the white ball roll. I moved myself forward making a small gap between us.
He scoffed, then slowly moved away from me with that smirk on his face.
"So, you don't know how to play" he questioned, smirking while making his way over to me and taking my pole away from me. He put them away then turned back to me.
I rolled my eyes avoiding his captivating gaze. A few moments of silence hung in the air.
"let's finish that game from before, it was still your turn." Andrew suggested with an undertone of mischief as he took gradual steps towards me.
"What game?" I asked while remaining in my position, allowing the distance between us to close. He reached me causing me to look up slightly.
He dipped his head, I could feel his cool minty breath on my skin.
"You know, truth or dare." He whispered the last part, causing a shiver down my spine and a tingle between my legs. I lifted my hand to his hard chest letting it sit there for a moment.
I pushed him back slightly. "I actually remember it being your turn" I retorted.
"Really? Or are you deflecting from my question." He said allowing a smile to creep across his face.
"I don't know what you're talking about" I lied blatantly.
"When was the last time a boy kissed you" he reminded me. His eyes lingered on my lips. I scoffed turning away from him.
"I'll tell you that when you answer my question: where have you been going with Albert lately?" I faced him letting a ripple of concern wash over me.
