I felt something brush against my bare shoulder as I lay asleep. My eyes instantly shot open.
I swiftly turned around holding my arm up, ready to throw a fire ball, when I was met with Andrew's figure.
"Maddison..." he let out weakly.
I gasped as I fully focused on Andrew. He looked sick...pale,tired,sluggish. He was barely standing as he rest most of his body weight on my wall.
I turned to the alarm clock.
2:34
"omg, what happend?" I questioned rushing over to him.
I led him to the bed, he sat down dazed.
"Andrew are you okay, should I get Albert?" I continued to ask, confused about his state.
"It's hot in your room" he mumbled as he lifted his shirt over his head in one motion, ignoring my questions.
I let my eyes fall to his torso letting out another gasp. Bruises were littered across his abs, creeping onto his back.
"Andrew what happened?" I asked again. I sat down closely next to him. I reached out to touch the purple surface.
Andrew jerked back. "I'm fine, I was just training" he let out nonchalantly.
I pressed my lips together.
"Why so late and what were you doing to injure yourself?" I continued to push, not satisfied with his dismissive attitude.
"Shh, stop talking." He said as he lay down and closed his eyes.
I rolled my eyes at him.
"Get out. Go sleep in your room." I told him.
"No..." he mumbled in a whiny tone "... it's cold and boring in there."
I rolled my eyes at his childishness. "fine."
I stated.Still tired I headed over to Liberty's room only to find her and Noah cuddling. I groaned as my frustration grew.
I went into Andrew's room ripping the duvet off of his bed. I took it back to my room and lay on the floor, not bothering to argue with Andrew.
7:21
"Maddison, wake up, we have to get to the training room so we aren't late" I heard Liberty's soft voice.
I opened my eyes, the harsh bright light piercing them.
"huh" I let out, still confused what was going on. I sat up fully adjusting to my surroundings. I was in my bed while Liberty frantically looked through my drawers for my training suit.
"We can't be late again, George will tell Bert." she continued.
I rubbed my eyes as the memories of last night washed over my thoughts.
hmm.
I got up making my way to the bathroom to change and get ready. We quickly headed over to the training room once I was done.
11:57
"Great work ladies, Liberty try increasing you speed and Maddison your height." George stated then signalled for us to leave.
"Maddison..." he called out "... I know it's been hard for you since the last time you flew but your progress has been exceptional. Don't let your fear limit you." He said giving me a warm smile.
"Thanks George, you're a good coach." I replied, returning the smile.
3:47 am
After lunch Liberty and Noah went for a swim, while Andrew disappeared and I chilled in my room.
Albert had called for a meeting, where he was droning on about our first mission.
"There has been an attack on the other side of the city - Central Park. You are to finish by dawn: find what is causing the destruction and put an end to it.
Restoring the park will be Andrew and Liberty's main priority, while Noah and Maddison I am assigning you to taking down whatever is destroying the park.
Do not cause further disruption and try your best to hide your powers" Albert stated then turned on his heel cutting off any questions.
To be honest I am very nervous.
I placed on my training suit, after tying up my hair in a ponytail.
I shook off my nerves as I looked in the mirror. We were about to leave; Albert announced the jet was ready to take off.
We all made our way to the aircraft through the obsidian night.
