Bored. You were bored. This was not the ideal mood you wanted to be in.

Sighing, you sat on the couch, it wasn't your couch, per say, it was your good friend, Berwald. He and you were great friends, always hanging out, meeting his friends, and just being with each other. Another sigh escaped your lips.

Right now, you were currently engrossed in a book, trying to rid the boredom from just sitting there. Berwald had said he has something important to do. You didn't stop him.

It had been a while, since you have finished half the book, and Berwald came came back and plopped himself down beside you on the couch.

"Hey, (Name)" He greeted lowly in his accent that you adored. You jumped a little and looked over to where he sat. You smiled in satisfaction and closed the book.

"Finally!" You chuckled, causing him to smile a bit. You heard him mumble a sorry.

After that, it was a small, awkward silence. The only noise that could be heard are the breaths you both take and the ticking clock that hung above the fireplace.

"I was thinking.." Berwald started, breaking the ice, "how would you feel.. going out with me?" You almost choked.

You turned your head to the man beside you and stared wide-eyed. Sure you guys were best friends but you had never imagined this. Although, really, you were never interested in anyone else, claiming you compare them to your best friend. This was actually nice.

A smile broke out on your face, and a blush tinted faintly.

You could tell he was a bit nervous by your look, but warmed up a bit, awaiting your response.

"Of course I would!" You cried out, smiling and blushing like a madman. Then a thought pursued in your head.

"Oh, and what took you so long?"

Berwald gave a 'thought-you'd-never-ask' look. He cleared his throat and began to explain.

"I just adopted a child, hoping you would help me raise him in the future." He gave you a wink, causing you to blush an even red color.

"Th-that's- Oh my gosh, Ber, I love you!" You tackled him into a hug, him hugging back.

This was probably one of the most bittersweet visits you have ever had.
