Academic Rivals: Kaeya x Albedo

I start walking to class but I can't stop thinking about what he said he wasn't wrong I was smiling through out the conversation and it did feel nice to talk to somebody at break yeah I had sucrose but she would talk with some of the girls and lunch and she didn't like eating lunch in the library so I was always alone but I did really enjoy it.....
What is this guy up to though does he really just want to be my friend I doubt that but his smile seemed so genuine he doesn't even smile that genuinely with his friends.

When I enter the chemistry lab I am snapped out of my thoughts when I see Kaeya sitting in the seat next to mine that seat was typically kept empty because the teacher was mad students kept copying off me during exams but Kaeya sits down the back him and his friends tend to take up the back row off seats.
"Why are you sitting up the front "
I throw my bag under the desk and sit up on the stool

"Well for some reason there are no stools down the back and this is the only free seat, and  anyway can I not want to be near you blondie"
he leans back on the stool as he speaks he also flicks his pony tail back off his shoulder.

"Why are the no stools down the back?"I look down at the back of the class seeing there really is no stools. I pull out my notebook and my pencil case and get ready for class

"I don't know but ehh it doesn't matter though" he leans on the desk with his head leaning against his hand before eventually slumping down on the desk with his head on his arm looks like he was trying to fall asleep

"You tired there " I look down at him and see the smile on his face he was positioned like he was going to try sleep but he looked wide awake

"Nope just chemistry is boring I don't get how you like it so much" he looks up at me

"I don't know I, well it's kinda just comes naturally to me so I find it easy " I start tapping my pen against the desk Kaeya looks like he was going to speak but then the teacher walks in.
The class goes by quickly I was just paying attention to what the teacher was saying until I heard the sound of metal hitting against itself. I look over to the sound and see Kaeya spinning a pen in his hand with the metal pen hitting his rings the pen looked like a nice one the kind a CEO would have on his desk just to look nice.

He looks over at me and says "sorry is this disturbing you " he swings the pen in his hand before placing it back down on the desk before he starts to remove his rings and places then in his pocket before going back to spinning the pen in his hand .
He is being so polite, it's nice but .... weird I can understand why all the girls want to date him.

"can you read out the passage on page 116" the teacher points in my direction it was clearly pointed at me and I really didn't want to read out loud right now why did she call on me. I pull the book closer to me mentally preparing myself to read when I hear .

"The first step of ionization of H²SO⁴ is complete in aqueous solution-"
Kaeya was reading the paragraph out he must have thought the teacher pointed at him that's it, he wouldn't read it out loud for me even if he knew I didn't want to how would he know he just he couldn't. I look at him and he smiles at me when our eyes meet all I can do is turn back towards the teacher I feel my face heat up how did he know how could he fluster me this easily why, why now this is all in my head that's it he doesn't care can he...

"This shows that HNO³ is a much stronger acid then HNO²" Kaeya pushes the book forward before turning to me and tapping my shoulder I turn to look at him and he just smile and mouths "your welcome blondie" his eyes shift up to my hair when he mouths blondie and I can't help but smile back at him before returning my focus back to class

Time skip

The final bell rings and I get up from my seat I head to the library since there isn't enough time for me to go home before alchemy club since the new schedule change. I know it isn't really the fencing clubs fault but kinda is the alchemy and fencing clubs where on at the 4:00 till 5:00 while the astronomy club was on from 4:30 till 6:00 they need the later time slot for well the stars and that half an hour over lap was the issue there was to many students on the grounds so I had to move the alchemy club half an hour earlier which now means I don't have the time to go home sadly.

I enter the library and head straight for the alchemy section picking up some books on the topic and placing them on a table. When I finally find all the books I need for today's meeting I turn around to pick up the stack off books before an all too familiar hand holds the books down

"Let me help you there blondie but may I ask why so many books" he picks up the stack of books and smiles

"They are for my club meeting today and may I ask you why are you every where I go today " I smirk at him but I do appreciate the help " just follow me to room ten because I'm not going to refuse the help" I turn around and start walking out of the library I didn't need to check the books out since the librarian knew these where for the club so I don't need to sign them out every week.

"Well I guess it's just destiny blondie but I thought alchemy club was at 4 same time as fencing that's the only reason I never checked it out can't really bail on the club you run " he walks beside me looking at me instead off where he was walking

"I had to change it since the astronomy club the fencing and alchemy all have a 30 minute over lap and they can't have that many students on the grounds" I open the door of room ten and place the few books I was carrying on the desk

" you can leave them just right there please"I start to pull out some off the posters out of a drawer and start to put them on the walls.

"Okay would you like anymore help setting up " he places the book and I here the thud I know those books where heavy so I typically did it in two trips but Kaeya just carried most of the books without breaking a sweat.

"You never thanked me for earlier blondie " he comes up behind leaning his head forward so it's above my shoulder he is looking at both me and the poster I was hanging up.

"So you did notice" I mumble to myself

"Speak up blondie " he smirks tilting his head to look at me

"Nothing and thank you for earlier... Happy " I finish sticking up the poster but I can't really move since Kaeya is right behind me.

"C could you move please I have more posters to hang "

"Oh sorry blondie " he steps back and starts to flick through the books he seems to be skimming each page but is still reading it. I start to pull a table out so I can hook the alchemical charge onto the roll down screen but Kaeya puts his hand on my shoulder to stop me from getting up on it

"That isn't safe if you know you need to hang this up every week why not borrow the step ladder or use a safer method " he looks down at me with a slight look of concern

"I do it all the time and I have never fallen okay I will be fine ... Your acting like I'm your friend " I get up onto the desk just in my knees at first before I stand up but I feel something on my back Kaeya had placed his hand on my back I think in some attempt to balance me better but it wasn't like if I did fall that it would help

"Well come on you enjoyed our time in the library and you can't deny it " he smirks up at me and he takes my hand as I start to bend down before a very bad idea comes to my mind

"What would you do if I jumped down " I stand back up on the table still holding his hand Kaeya frantically moves his other hand to stabilise my waist. I smirk down at him

"Well I would catch you blondie and then scold you for being an idiot"

"Well you wouldn't need to if you just " I push the hand he has on my waist out of the way before jumping down bending my knees as I land to lessen the impact still holding his hand before I let it go

"You run the fencing club yet you are scared off me standing on a table " I can't help but laugh and I look at Kaeya who looks mad but slowly joins
