Academic Rivals: Kaeya x Albedo

I was in the student council room going over the schedule for the prom. Venti had a major hand in the theme it was something along the lines of angel or something I didn't really pay attention to what it was, I wasn't apart of the planning I just went over the schedule and now was refining the plan for the night itself

"Albedo I was looking for you " Amber rushed in plopping flyers on the table " yeah what do you need " I pushed my laptop over and looked at her " Are you going to the prom?" She sat down on the desk and placing her legs on the table

"I think so?" Kaeya had yet to officially ask me but I knew he was planning something since he told Klee and she let if slip to me but I haven't told Kaeya that I know but he did tell me he was going to do something cheesy

"Oh who, wait duh it's Kaeya obvi but he hasn't asked you yet that's the whole reason I'm here ugh. Umm what can I ... That's fine I was going to ask you to volunteer for the night but it's fine just means I gotta go ask teachers but that's fine" she picked up one of the posters " I'm assuming your gonna end up doing the couples dance "

She turned the poster to me and it was one of the poster that had the QR codes to vote for prom king "Couples dance? Doesn't everybody" I didn't understand the significance of a couples dance so I was wondering if I missed a memo or was it just something I just didn't care about when I was first told

" the prom king and queen dance together then they dance with their dates, so~ you would be dancing with Kaeya and the prom queen probably Jean mm or maybe Mona, and whoever goes with her will be dancing together next to you. Did you not know?"

Amber tended to word vomit a lot that's why I never talked to her often she is really nice and friendly almost to a fault " No ... I didn't, I didn't know at all but I'll um keep that in mind"

I hadn't really thought about the fact Kaeya was probably going to be prom king I'm pretty sure he didn't run a campaign but I wasn't certain...I don't think I remember anybody running campaigns but then again when I think about most of the other years it was all blocks but I think it was the I block planned there own one so the others followed suit so typically you would see campaigns for guys and girls you would never know. Which does make sense someone who is hated by there block just campaigns in another and then they could win even if no one who actually knew them actually liked them. But I'm pretty sure people outside the M block are allowed buy tickets just they can't vote

"Oh look it's almost lunch you should head to the cafeteria before it gets busy " Amber spoke as she tidied up the stack of posters " I never go to the cafeteria so really there's no advantage off me going earlier"

I don't blame her for not knowing I would be shocked if she actually noticed I was never in there. It would be kind of creepy if she did notice I wasn't there out of all the students but then she is very observant "oh. oh" she looked very concerned

"Well maybe you should go today it seems like a great idea " she jumped off the table and sticking her hand out with a thumbs up. Her headband bounced like bunny ears " but why?"

I was wondering why she was getting me to go to the cafeteria from what Kaeya said Wednesdays don't have good lunches so why was she so adamant that I go to the cafeteria

"Just go that way okay don't ask questions just go" she shouted before pointing her head to the ceiling and mumbling stop to herself " ugh Kaeya you made this seem easy aghh"
