Academic Rivals: Kaeya x Albedo

I had time to mentally prepare for this but now that I was walking to the cafe I felt my heart in my throat. I didn't know if I had dressed to casually or was I to dressed up I was wearing a light yellow turtleneck sweater with Kaeya's jacket on top, a pair of blue jeans and some converse. It felt to casual, Kaeya was always dressed nice would his idea of casual be much more then what I thought. I couldn't find my contacts either so I was wearing my glasses but was that a bad idea I had never felt so anxious in my life.

I had made it to the cafe early so I just waited outside for Kaeya. I had the temptation to just run... I hadn't seen Kaeya all day he was busy handing out posters again this morning and we had no classes I didn't even see him at lunch what if he was sick, I could text him saying I'm sick ughhh my thoughts were interrupted by a familiar voice

" Hey blondie you look very cute today " he walked over to me with a small bouquet of cecilia's. He was wearing a dark blue button up not fully buttoned all the way and the sleeves were rolled up, he had high waisted black trousers with a belt and black boots. Our ideas of casual were very different

"I wanted to get you more but I realised that would be awkward for you to bring home " he passed me the flowers as he spoke. I took them and smelled them they smelled fresh. I found myself smiling " thank you there pretty " I mumbled.

Kaeya chuckled and wrapped his arm around me and started walking into the cafe. He stood there for a second and looked around" why don't you sit over there and I'll order our drinks and I know vanilla latte " he ruffles my hair slightly and walks towards the counter. I sat down in the booth, I tried to fix my hair slightly while he was gone. A few minutes later he came back and place the cup in front of me " one vanilla latte for blondie and a espresso for me " he laughed slightly taking a sip of his drink

"You okay blondie " he tilted his head slightly he looked worried about me " I'm fine just nervous " Kaeya smiled and reached his hand out to mine " come on it's just us but I understand... I almost bailed and didn't show up but that would be mean so I think I should get this over with " he scratched the back of his neck awkwardly before taking a deep breath. I felt really nervous now I did feel like I was going to throw up.

"Albedo do you wanna be my boyfriend" he said it confidently before hiding his face in his arms on the table. I placed my hand on his shoulder nudging him slightly he looked up at me and he was a flustered mess and I couldn't help but laugh as I responded "...
Yeah"  his face gotten even more flustered and I could feel my face warming up as well.

"Okay stop laughing it's not funny you are blushing too so you can't talk "  he started laughing as well
"Well your the one who asked and then his your face I -" he interrupted me before I could finished

"Well I had prepared myself but I didn't expect you to come here this cute with your glasses and all " he place his head ont he table before mumbling " I arrived at the same time as you but you didn't notice me so I took my time to prepare and I still went all flustered" Kaeya was a confident guy typically not getting flustered ever but he gets flustered all the time around me and it's quite adorable but what he was saying was making me more flustered my face felt hot and I new my face was probably bright red.

Kaeya pulls out his phone and I here a click sound before he turns the phone to me. He had changed my icon on his contact to a picture of me he just took of me but what caught my eye more was my name on his phone ~Blondie<3💛

"What's with the hearts and why not have my name you know more then one blonde ?" Kaeya placed his phone on the table " what am I in your phone ?... Don't tell me you have everyone by full name on your phone " he looked confused but also trying to hold in laughter

I took out my phone and showed him his name was down as    Kaeya A. Kaeya takes my phone "come on really do you really know more then one Kaeya " he gives me a judgemental look and I found myself laughing " I don't just it's your name what's wrong with it "

"What's wrong with it ... Come on I'm changing it " he starts typing on my phone " what are you changing it too please keep it appropriate " I watched as Kaeya smirked before he passed me back my phone "see that is much better " he has a big grin on his face

He had changed it to Boyfriend 💙 but I expected that so it wasn't really a shock but the icon was. I didn't know how he got that photo on my phone but it was a picture of Kaeya shirtless my face went bright red and I dropped the phone on the table and cover my face " how .. that's... I didn't take that on my phone" Kaeya burst out laughing before he responded

" I sent it to you from my phone " he pauses before leaning closer and smirking " if you go look at our messages you will see it in much better quality "  I passed him back my phone " get rid of it please " I hid my face more why why would he do that ... To fluster me that's why he's just trying to get back at me for laughing that's all this is.

"How about no you can change it yourself " he passes back my phone before he sips his drink " you wanna go on a walk he smiled and looked over at me

"Sure "
