You Were Ignoring Me......
Sylvia breathed out sigh. It was so disgruntled that even Jaemin couldn't help but sigh with her. He can just imagine his wife's azurite eyes; always sparkling like a pool of water with happiness and certain impishness that he fell in love with. But now they probably hold a pained look. Without uttering anything to console his wife, Jaemin continued his combing. His long bony fingers carving a soothing path through her wavy brown curls as he looked through some of his files.
She wanted to scream at her husband; who was nonchalantly looking through his files all the while his fingers raked through her curls. the feelings of her husband's fingers running through her scalp was soothening. But frustration was all she could feel. Not those frustration she often felt whenever Jaemin left her for his business trips. That frustration mostly led to Sylvia jumping the said man's bones when he return from those said trips; without caring the time or place.
But this, this frustration was something she felt whenever she saw one of her babies in pain. Be it a nasty paper cut or broken leg; Sylvia often felt disappointed in herself. Even if the said mistake wasn't her fault. That being said; thinking about her second baby- Elrid- who is now currently crying on his attic room- bought out a pathetic whimper from her.
This time it was Jaemin, who sighed; placing the closed file on the coffee table, he hoisted his -now silently tearing up wife- to his chest. Sylvia was now practically sitting on his lap. Without another word she just curled into him, throwing her arms around her husband's neck as she buried her face against his neck.
"He will be okay..." Sylvia doesn't know how to reply to that slightly scratchy voice. If it was someone else who said that to her she would have bitten their head out. But it was her husband and she knows Jaemin is always right.
But that doesn't mean she will ignore her kid for days. Because honestly, she just can't.
It's been a day since Elrid had shut himself out of this world. Just a week ago, he was bouncing through the house like someone offered a crystal shop for him for free; full of giggles and those cute crescent eye smile he inherited from her husband. It was the first time she saw him as a teenager. Happy and carefree. Acting and looking like his true age. Sure, there were some moment when Elrid directed those crescent smiles to her or her husband. But it was always felt like a fleeting moment.
But that week she just witnessed another side of her son. A laughing carefree boy who is enjoying his teenage days. A normal side as others often referred to it.
It was honestly a surprise to see her eighteen-year-old son, standing near the kitchen counter stirring the steaming cup of coffee while humming some tune. His hips were swaying, the white hair of his now messily sticking to every direction. Her azurite eyes squinted, mother instincts inside her flaring as she scrutinized Elrid's beaming face. Sylvia wanted to shake the boy, demand him to spill every little secret of his, he is keeping from her. especially after how yesterday Elrid walked- well more like sprinted- past her. But thanks to her hawk like eyes she still noticed the blushing mess who was her son, his long white strands twisted and turned to some acceptable braided designs while tiny wild blue flowers decorated them. She wanted to question. Oh God she really wanted. But Jaemin just gave her a look. And she complied... well more likely sulked. Until Jaemin kissed that pout away.
