*sigh*
Bite You.
"I'm going. Don't wait for me," giving a smooch on his little sister's chubby cheeks, Elrid bellowed as he opened the front door. Esa waved him off, lion plushie clutched to her chest.
It was Friday evening, and Caleb had asked him to meet him at their Valley- yes, it's their valley now-after his class. The boy was ready to ditch school, but apparently cutting class is a big no-no for his boyfriend. 'It's a date', his boyfriend had announced when he dropped him off at his front door after his packing visit. So here he is tucking in the lube and condoms that were gifted to him by his mom, much to his horror and not to his surprise.
Miles, too, was there, whispering in his ear like the little evil he is, to pack some toys for entertainment. God, why am I surrounded by weird people??
He didn't, though. Because he knows they're not planning to mate—I mean, I sure want to... But, if Caleb was planning to have sex, then they would be going to some motels, or at least Caleb's house, or somewhere with a bed, not the middle of a valley where anybody can walk in and can see their naked asses. So, he is sure it was just a date.
Tugging on his hair, he checked his reflection on the backyard window one more time. It was tied in a top knot style—a style he isn't used to but is now getting used to because it appears that his boyfriend has a thing for tied hair. Or so he thinks, from the looks and the way the male devoured his lips during his visit to the Murphy house. And he kinda changed his wardrobe too. I mean, why not? It's a date. Instead of his usual goofy ghost hoodies, he wore a black turtleneck along with his usual black skinny jeans and a denim jacket. It kinda felt weird to dress up for someone. It was kinda nervous to step out of his comfort zone and be plagued with all the thoughts about how I looked and whatnot. But Elrid was confident; it's not like Caleb would reject him just because of his fashion sense, like Cole said.
The boy couldn't help the grumble that slipped past his lips, remembering their conversation when he visited his boyfriend's house.
It was kinda pathetic how some big bad wolf like Cole, whatever-the-last-name-of-her, was pining over Caleb, clearly knowing the male is in a committed relationship. That too with his mate. If it were someone else, Elrid would've slapped the shit out of them just for looking at his boyfriend. But Cole was Caleb's friend—slash acquaintance. So, squashing his bubbling rage, he smiled at the she-wolf, and with all of his confidence, he spoke, 'I know you like my mate so much that you expected to end up with him because he didn't find his mate. But I'm here now. So why don't you be a good friend and be happy for my mate because he found his mate?', all the while Raven stared at him like he was Jesus.
Cole looked at him for a moment, surprise evident in her onyx eyes, like she didn't think he could stand up for himself. Like he was some coward shit that would be running the moment something happens. The nerve! She gave a tight nod, then turned to her phone when Zander and Caleb came with their order. It was kinda pitiful, funny, and suspicious—how his boyfriend didn't even know about Cole's years-long crush on him. Even if the boy was curious, he didn't talk about it with Caleb, though. It's none of my business unless she touches my boyfriend. Then I'll make it my business.
Huffing, he walked through the forest path, it was getting chilly. October is coming. Elrid couldn't help but moan at the reminder. He hated Halloween; even with all the sweets and food Jaemin and Sylvia made, he dreaded the day. Halloween isn't just for the dead. Halloween is for the dead. It's the day when the veil between the living and dead is lifted and the day when dead mingle with the living. Sometimes it's actually pretty funny to see humans walk past the dead without a care while commenting on how the 'makeup looks so real', until some pedophile or serial killer follows him to his house, sensing his power. It had happened, so much so that a ten-year-old Elrid forgone trick or treat. Still, they knocked on his door until Harrison warded his house. It was the only thing they could do, considering ghosts were quite powerful during that day.
