"You did what?" Laura yelled in disbelief. "Kim!" She chuckled.
"I know, I know. I'm a bad person right?" I sighed leaning back on the sofa.
"I can't believe you ditched Hugh to fuck with Lorena. I mean where is she even coming from?"
"I actually did not ask." She gave me a dumbfounded look. "What I mean is a lot happened and I did not get the time to ask."
"Right a lot of sex happened." She laughed shaking her head. "You're a bad girl." I chuckled.
"Stoooooop. I already feel bad about it." She laughed again.
"Well it was your first date so I don't think he'll be that hurt if you tell him you can't see him anymore." I sighed loudly.
"Aghhhhh" I screamed in the cushion in my hands.
"So if I may ask. What is now happening between you and your boss." She smirked.
"Don't call her my boss. You’re making the situation awkward."
"But it's the truth sis, you're screwing your boss." I glared at her direction.
"I'm not screwing her." I defended myself but she laughed.
"Then what are you guys doing?"
"The truth is I don't know Laura." She laughed.
"I do not believe you." I took a deep breath.
"Okay, let's say I'm confused."
"By what?"
"Well Lorena at first didn't seem like she wanted to be with me in that way then she disappeared and then weeks later she comes back and all of a sudden she asked me to be her girlfriend." She gasped.
"Oh my God you're with a multi billionaire!!"
"Seriously? That's all you heard and besides who said I said yes to her request?" She looked at me confused.
"You said no?"
"Not really."
"Okay now I'm the one who's confused." I sighed.
"Well I told her I'll think about it."
"Oh" She cleared her throat. "Well have you thought about it yet?"
"It's just that I feel like everytime I'm with someone with a popular reputation it just ends up failing. Logan, Paige although we were together before her fame but I don't know Laura I'm having doubts about it."
"Do you like her?" I nodded. "Do you feel like time pauses when you see her?" I blushed and nodded. "Do you feel like you could be with her every minute." I giggled.
"Okay okay I get what you're trying to say." I told her.
"Kim you have been alone for so long. You deserve a bit of happiness." I smiled at my little sister.
"Thanks Laura." She gave me a smile as well.
Lorena's POV
"Yes father I'm back at work." I said to my father over the phone.
"That's good honey. I know that you will do a good job."
"Try telling that to Peter Waters" I said.
"Waters? Owner of...."
"TSV yes father. That Waters. Rumor has it he's already celebrating his company's success for the year because he believes I will drag the company down." Father laughed.
"Waters has always been a fool. Listen honey I trust you and I know you will not let me down. Waters is nothing to you. You hear me?"
"Yes father." I told him.
My parents were still in the dark about my grandfather being in my life. I was waiting for them to be back from their vacation to reveal him to them and finally hear the secrets they have.
"I have a new client I'd like you to look into and possibly convince him to work with us." He said.
"Okay send me his details and I'll see if we can work with him." I told him.
"Okay honey." I hung up and took a deep breath before going back to work.
Hailey's POV
"Babe!" I looked at my watch and sighed. Paige is always late.
"I'm here, I'm here."
"Finally." I said.
"You act as if we will miss our flight or something. What are jets for if not for waiting?" I chuckled.
"It's not the jet I'm worried about it's the gala." She rolled her eyes.
"You already know how I feel about that gala beautiful so I don't really care if I'm late." She said stepping off the last step of the staircase.
"But I care." I said softly.
"Right." She kissed my lips softly.
"Mom can I go out to a concert tonight? I promise it's safe." Cammy came from the living room.
"You are not allowed to go to any concert until you are eighteen." I said.
"But mother I'm almost 16 and my classmates are all going. It's not fair." She pouted.
"She can go with Jack." Her bodyguard. Paige suggested.
"Why do you always say yes to them?" I asked Paige and she chuckled.
"That's because they'll only be young once." She whispered into my ear and then turned to Camilla. "I want you back by eleven pm. Got it?" She grinned and nodded.
"Thanks mom!" She ran up to her room.
"Shall we?" She smiled making the butterflies in my stomach jump.
"I don't know what to do with you." I said as we walked to the car.
"I can demonstrate to you tonight after the gala, what do you think?" I blushed and poked her arm.
"Paige!"
"What?" She laughed making me laugh as well.
Lorena's POV
"Boss?" I looked up from my computer.
"Oh okay let me grab my stuff." I told him before shutting my laptop and gathering my stuff getting ready to call it a day.
I got anxious when I thought about where I would sleep tonight. I thought about home but I still got sleepless nights whenever I was there even after weeks of not sleeping there. I thought of Kimberly but then I was still trying to give her her space to think about what I asked of her.
I ended up deciding to go to my house where I let grandpa stay. Maybe the old man would be good company for the night. I sure would love to hear his jokes.
I got into the car and Danny looked at me through the mirror before asking me.
"Where to boss? I know you don't want to go home." I chuckled and nodded.
"You are not wrong." I took a deep breath and then looked out of the window. "Take me to my grandfather."
