Amara White has been stealing the hearts of the Capitol since she was a child. As the heir to a very large fortune and the voice of an angel, she was the most sought-after person in any room she entered. When she meets the young Finnick Odair after his victory tour, the two find solace in one another as they are thrust into the eye of the public at their young age.
An alliance becomes friendship, and as they grow up, speculation around their attachment only grows. As Amara watches what the life of a victor truly is, the grandeur of the Capitol quickly fades. She can only watch helplessly as children are slaughtered around her.
