Aspasia was woken up to Amara banging on her door. She groaned and pulled herself out of bed. To her surprise, Amara was wearing a floor-length dress when the door opened, and was wide-eyed when she pushed her way through the door.

"Come on in," Aspasia said sarcastically, closing the door behind her and flicking on the switch that lit up the room. "Where have you been?"

"I had a date with Finnick," Amara explained as she began pacing around the room.

"Ah yes, I heard you managed to tame the beast," Aspasia chuckled, and something like jealousy flashed in her eyes as she stared at Amara, who paused to look at the healer.

"There was no beast that needed to be tamed," she said. "He wasn't a player. He was forced into prostitution. Snow is the monster that caused all this, and I can't change what he did to Finnick, but I can change what he did to Peeta."

Aspasia leaned forward slightly, ready to hear whatever Amara's plan was.

"Lucid Dreaming."

Aspasia just stared at her.

"What?" she asked. "Why would that help?"

"My father said that they put him in some sort of simulation and changed his memories, right?"

"Right," she agreed, recalling the conversation with Edwin.

"So, what if we put him in a simulation that helps him battle off those demons and rewrite the story again. We can figure out what really happened and help guide him back to that timeline."

Aspasia was silent for a moment as she studied Amara. Then, she shrugged.

"You could be right," she said. "Do you know how to do it?"

Amara laughed and leaned against the wall.

"I'm not actually a scientist," Amara pointed out. "I was assigned to Peeta's case because my father did this to him and I knew my father. Now, I've just been with him the longest. When all this is over, I go back to music. But for now, if I can help Peeta, I'm going to."

Ezra was awake when Finnick dragged himself back to the mansion. He looked up excitedly when Finnick walked into Annie's room, but his expression fell when he took in Finnick's hunched shoulders.

"She said no?" he asked, shocked. Finnick shook his head.

"I didn't get the chance to ask," he said, flopping on the bed. Annie, who had been asleep, startled awake and glanced over at him.

"Why aren't we celebrating?" she mumbled.

"He didn't get the chance to ask," Ezra told her. Annie sat up and rubbed her eyes.

"What happened?" she asked with a yawn.

"I don't even think she saw the ring," Finnick said. "She suddenly realized how to help Peeta's hijacking in the middle of the date and sprinted out."
