Finnick didn't understand how it took Annie so long to realize she was pregnant. He knew that she typically had a physical reaction to stress and having her husband leave the day after their wedding would have caused a ton of stress, but he still didn't understand how she didn't notice the morning sickness.
Because of that, Annie was not where Mrs. Everdeen wanted her to be in terms of her own personal health. During the weeks that Amara was working on helping Peeta, Finnick and Ezra discovered that all their time was going into helping Annie prepare for the baby that would be their sooner than any of them realized.
It had taken her three months to realize she was pregnant, which meant she only had six to prepare for the birth. So, she went on a carefully regimented vitamin plan to make sure she was getting all the nutrients she needed, and before they knew it, the day they'd all been waiting for came.
All the victors were crowded around the hospital room pacing back and forth as they waited for the news. When Annie was finally wheeled out, she was grinning from ear to ear, and it was obvious she'd been crying.
She was cradling her swollen belly and smiling down at the photos Mrs. Everdeen had taken.
"It's a boy," she announced, and there was a loud commotion as people cheered, groaned, money was exchanged, and congratulations to Annie were given as they crowded around her to see the photo.
"Haymitch owes me money," Ezra grinned.
"We'll need to throw you a baby shower since I can't give you Cinzia's clothes," Jade said.
There was a beat of silence before a roar of excitement as everyone started talking about the kind of party they would throw for Annie and her son.
Annie didn't say a word. Instead, she just sat back and rubbed her stomach, content with watching all the victors yell at each other over the best cake consistency. She thought about Adrien and how heartbreaking it was that she would never be able to raise his son with him, but as she looked at all the people around her who cared so deeply about her, she knew that she was never going to do this alone.

Peeta was laughing when Amara walked in one morning, a few weeks into their treatment plan. He and Mrs. Everdeen were reminiscing about life in Twelve and all the memories they held there.
Aspasia was standing in the back behind the monitor with a small smile on her face when Amara joined her.
"How do his scans look?" Amara asked, leaning over Aspasia's shoulder. The woman was grinning.
"It looks incredible," she admitted. "We'll probably be able to clear him next week."
Both women looked up again at the sound of Peeta's laughter.
"Then let's get to work."

At the end of the week, all the victors stood around the television as the Capitol released their second televised program since the liberation of Panem.
