"Blue was the color of the sea
Where I used to read by the ocean shore
I used to think I would meet somebody there
Teal was the color of your shirt
When I was fourteen at my father's shop
I used to work at to make a little money
Time, curious time
Gave me no compasses, gave me no signs
Were there clues I didn't see?
And isn't it just so pretty to think
All along there was some
Invisible string
Tying you to me?"Annie looked like a vision as she walked down the aisle to Amara's voice. They all knew that the cameras were watching, but none of them cared. Everyone in that room was completely captivated by what was going on in front of them.
Amara had to focus very hard on her words when she saw Finnick and Annie step out in front of everyone.
Finnick was looking at her like he couldn't be more proud to be standing beside her in that moment. But it was only when Amara glanced at Adrien that her heart flipped. From the moment Annie stepped into the aisle, tears started falling down his face.
He was so in love with the woman walking toward him, and everyone in that room knew it. The whole world would soon know just how crazy he was about her, and just how excited he was to be her husband.
All of District Thirteen was in attendance, including Coin. When Finnick reached the end of the aisle, Amara quietly stopped singing, and the instrumental accompaniment also quieted. The officiant grinned at everyone in front.
"Who gives this woman to marry this man?" he asked. Finnick smiled softly at Annie.
"I do," he leaned down and kissed her cheek gently before placing her hand in Adrien's. He stepped back as the ceremony began and the officiant started talking about the sacred bonds of marriage.
Finnick glanced over at Amara, who was staring lovingly at the couple in front of her. He was so excited to enter into that sacred bond of marriage with her. One day. Soon. Hopefully soon. He wasn't sure he was going to survive much longer if she wasn't his wife.
When they got to the vows, Finnick refocused on the officiant. Annie went first.
"From this day forward, in sickness and in health. For richer or poorer. I promise to love and cherish you each day," she vowed.
"I, Adrien Mackabee, take you, Annie Cresta, as my wife from this day forth. Together or apart, we will always be united. One life, one purpose, one destiny," Adrien grinned.
And before any of them were prepared for it, the officiant announced Adrien could kiss his bride, and he wasted no time in doing so. He swooped in for a kiss that would make parents shield their children's eyes.
The crowd was eating it up though. They whooped and cheered, and the music started again as the crowd transformed from people who were watching the ceremony to participating in the celebration.
