"Daddy!!!!!!!!!! Wake up! It's It's It's.....Christmwas!" I hear Lani say as she busts into the room. She jumps on the bed waking both me and Olivia up. Christmas is one of those holidays that I enjoy deeply, but it's hard right now to enjoy because Olivia is under the weather.
Last night, she just kept cramping and throwing up, so we took her to the ER and they said that this is usually what happens with women because of how stressful Christmas is and they told her to take it easy. I slowly get up as I see Liv stir under the covers.
"Mommy, wake up pwease. Santa came!" She tells Liv as she bounces up and down on the bed. Eventually, we both get up and head downstairs to get some breakfast. Right as we walk into the kitchen, Liv goes straight for the medicine cabinet, while I sit Lelani in her high chair.
"Gosh Lilly, my head is pounding and I feel extremely nauseous. Spence, I don't know if I can survive the family dinner tonight. Why did we have to host again?" She asked as I kissed her head.
"Well, we decided to do it at our house this year since it has always been at my mom's, plus we're breaking the ice. Baby, please take it easy aight? Your health is the most important so if you want to cancel it we can. It's up to you." I tell her as Lelani starts asking for food.
I grab the frying pan and start cooking some eggs followed by some pancakes. Once I finish them, I give them to Lelani while Liv just sticks her nose up at it and I frown.
"I'm sorry babe. I love your cooking but these cravings are crazy. Just the taste of eggs makes me nauseous but thank you though. I'll take it easy tonight but I will say something if your mom makes some slick remarks. I want to do this but I don't want to fight with anyone." She tells me and I grab her by the waist.
"Bet. No slick remarks. You know I have your back and I'm trying to get lucky tonight." I tell her as she busts out laughing,

"If you say so. No telling what's going to happen. I'll be knocked out before you know it." She tells me as I squeeze her butt.
"Hey...we have an audience." She reminds me as she walks into the living room.
I love our little family.
OLIVIA POV
"Babe, Have you seen my necklace? I swear I left it on the counter this morning." I ask him knowing he has no clue where it is.
"UH, no baby, I don't know where it is. Check the drawers or your jewelry box one more time." He tells me and I don't feel like doing that so I just leave it be.
Guests should start arriving in 10 minutes and I'm not ready. I've just been tired all day and my social battery is drained. I had a doctor's appointment via video call yesterday and found out the gender of the baby and I could not be happier. After the party and when Lani goes down for bed, I'll surprise Spence with his last gift.
I finish my finishing touches right as the doorbell rings. I take a deep breath and tell myself..."Breathe, you got this." as I walk down the stairs.
"Hey, Dad! How are you? Who's this?" I ask him surprised that he brought a date. Ever since mom died he's been antisocial and not wanting to date which is understandable but not telling me about his new girlfriend makes me feel some type of way.
"Hi, I'm Cassandra. Nice to meet you Olivian. Wow, you're house is beautiful." She says and I keep my cool because starting a fight is the last thing I want.
"Thank you. Make yourselves comfortable, Dad can I talk to you in the kitchen for a second?" I ask him as he gets up.
"Look, Dad, I'm happy for you but why didn't you tell me? Losing mom was hard on me too but I don't know if I'm completely over that yet. And you sleeping with randoms isn't working for me but you do you. I didn't come in here to tell you that. What I wanted to tell you is that...GRANDPA!" I hear Lani say and she instantly runs to him.
"Hey, baby girl! Merry Christmas! What were you going to tell me?" He asked me while playing with Lani's hair.
As much as I wanted to tell him, I couldn't. I don't know why but my relationship with my dad has always been rocky so seeing him with a new woman every month is just shattering me to pieces and I can't be happy my dad's here.
"Um, on second thought. I'll just tell you later, go enjoy yourself, Dad." I tell him watching him and Lani walk out of the kitchen.
It's about to be a hell of a night.
HEY YALL! SCHOOL ENDS TOMORROW. Sorry for not updating for a few days/weeks. School has been stressful but I have some chapters for y'all so be prepared. This was just some fluff because I felt like Spelivia needed some happiness. Spencer and Liv are happier than they have ever been and Lani is just excited it's Christmas. Billy Baker is in his hoe phase I see, but I'll explore that more in upcoming chapters.
