Sabrina woke up the next morning when the sun began to shine. She squinted, rubbing her eyes as she sat up tiredly. Sabrina looked beside her sleeping bag, a small smile creeping up on her lips when she noticed three small daisies in a water bottle. Sabrina glanced around, unsure of where the kind gesture came from.
She stood up, grabbing her bag of toiletries and walked over to the guardrail. She brushed her teeth quietly, her eyes closed as she soaked in the sunlight.Sabrina tensed up, her mind suddenly racing as she correlated the heat from the sun to the sudden explosion that took the life of her beloved colleague, Dr Jenner. Her heart sunk as her eyes opened, her hands reaching forward to grasp the guardrail for stability, her toothbrush slipping out of her hands and onto the grass.
After a moment of silence, Sabrina bent over and picked up her tooth brush, rinsing the gravel off. She inhaled quietly as she spit toothpaste onto the grass, making her way over to the RV. She avoided conversations, making sure to take the long way around into the RV so she didn't have to make eye contact with anyone.
Sabrina placed her duffle bag on the table, grabbing some clothes before she placed it back into its spot. She walked into the small bathroom, using wipes to freshen herself up. After a few minutes, she emerged from the bathroom wearing black Carhartt Cargo pants and a dark green tank top with dark brown boots. She exhaled deeply as she made her way off the RV, smiling as Lori came up to her. Sabrina braided her hair, attaching the three daises at the bottom
"Breakfast." Lori said, handing Sabrina an apple, granola bar and a water
"Oh, thank you." Sabrina said, giving her a nod of gratitude, "Any updates on Sophia?" She asked, reaching forward and pulling a leaf out of Lori's hair, "You have such beautiful long hair."
"Thank you." Lori said, brushing her fingers through the ends of her hair. She laughing softly, as Sabrina pulled another leaf from her hair, "Been a long morning."
"You don't say?" Sabrina giggled, noting that hickey on Lori's neck
Lori's hand flew to her neck, covering the exposed skin, "No! No. Is there a hickey?" She asked, frantically
"Yeah?" Sabrina said, "I don't think anyone will mind." She laughed
Lori ignored Sabrina's comment, her eyes darting over to Shane as blood boiled in her body. She looked over at Sabrina, concern evident in her eyes
Sabrina inhaled sharply, "I'm gonna go check on T-Dog." She said, turning on her heel as she walked over to him, "Good morning, how're you feeling?" She asked
T-Dog looked at Sabrina, his eyes sunken and jaundice ridden while his skin was flushed, "Tired." He admitted
"I'll see what I can do." Sabrina said, walking over to the remainder of the group, "We need antibiotics for T-Dog." She said
"Huh?" Daryl asked, looking over at Sabrina, an unfamiliar flutter in his stomach when he noted the flowers in her hair, "Why didn't you say anything earlier?" He asked, leading her over to his motorcycle. He handed her a bag of undisclosed bag of medication
"Daryl!" Sabrina exclaimed
"What? Merle had the clap a lot." Daryl retorted
Sabrina furrowed her brows at the unfamiliar name but chose not to ask. She smiled, "Thank you." She said, opening the bag and pulling out some antibiotics. She walked over to T-Dog, handing him some pills and a water.
"What's this?" T-Dog mumbled
"Does it matter?" Glenn asked, "Just take the pills!"
Sabrina laughed, "It's antibiotics." She said
