Sabrina woke up when she felt the movement of the truck. Her hands were tied behind her back and her mouth was sealed with a bandana. Her cheek was bleeding, blood trickling down her face from where she had been hit. Sabrina looked at the man who was driving, her heart sinking when she realized he had stolen their truck - leaving Shane stranded.

"What's your name, sweetheart?" Merle asked her, then laughed, "Nevermind." He said, noting she was gagged

Sabrina glanced around the car, tensing up when she saw T-Dog slumped over in the seat beside her. She looked over at Merle, furrowing her brows

"He's alive." Merle muttered, chuckling quietly. As he drove up to a large gate, he flickered his lights. He watched as two people opened a gate, "Welcome home, mamacita!"

Meanwhile, Shane was limping around the hospital, looking for any traces of Sabrina. He had discovered the truck was missing, but he knew Sabrina wouldn't leave him. Exhuasted and running on fumes, Shane decided to go back inside the hospital. He wasn't sure how many laps he had done around the local area looking for any clues. Shane held his rifle close to his chest as he used his flashlight to guide his body as he crept back in through the silent basement. As he walked, he heard soft wheezing

"Sabrina?" Shane whispered, "Sabrina?" He almost pleaded, walking down the corridor towards the noise. He paused seeing Ares curled up on the ground, bleeding from a gunshot wound to the hip, "No. No." Shane said, anger coursing through his body, "You were suppose to protect her!" He screamed, "She would be here with me had we left you at the prison!" Shane shouted at the dog, tears rushing down his cheeks, "You stupid mutt!" He cried out, unable to figure out what emotions he was feeling in the moment. Shane shuffled towards Ares, kneeling down quietly, "I'm sorry." He whispered, picking up the dog. Carefully, he limped out of the hospital

"Let's find somewhere to camp out then we'll
go looking for Sabrina." He whispered, leading the dog towards the parking garage. Shane found a small closed off area where the meter person must've stayed. He crept inside the small box, exhaling softly as he laid Ares down on the ground

Ares whimpered quietly in pain, yearning for Sabrina, the way Shane was.

Shane sat down on the ground beside Ares, pressing his back against the door. He exhaled softly as he watched the dog, wondering if the virus worked the same way for them. Shane felt his muscles scream at him, pain coursing through his body. The ache in his soul overpowered the throbbing sensation in his ankles. He watched as the sunset, knowing he was safer hidden away with Ares.

The next morning, Shane woke up when the sun began to rise. He stood up, picking up Ares before he carried him out to a car he had been eyeing up most of the night.
Gently, he placed Ares in the backseat before he climbed into the drivers seat.

Shane relaxed when the car began to shake as it turned on, "Thank God." He said, shifting in his seat before he began driving back down to the prison.
The drive without Sabrina seemed longer, his mind dreading the idea of having to explain to everyone what happened. To see the smug look on Rick's face when he admitted he couldn't protect Sabrina. He felt physically sick.

Shane parked the car in front of the gate, turning off his headlights. He felt defeated. Quietly, he reached over to the passengers seat, picking up his handgun. He stared down the barrel, pulling the hammer back, the click a familiar reminder of a fate he felt he deserved.
Quietly, Shane pressed the barrel to his chin, staring at the ceiling of the car

"I'll be with you soon, Sabrina." Shane said, quietly. His eyes fluttered shut as he felt his body become light, the pulsating in his ankle dwindling down as he imagined sweet relief.

Suddenly, there was a pound on the window

"What're you doing?!" Rick shouted at Shane

Shane opened his eyes, putting down his pistol. He rolled down the window, his eyes bloodshot from crying

"Where's Sabrina?" Rick asked, his tone frantic

"Dead. Probably." Shane whispered

"You saw?" Rick questioned, his heart sinking as he felt a thick lump in his throat

"No. I jumped out of a window. We were surrounded. She was suppose to jump after
me but she wouldn't leave the damn dog." Shane whispered, "T-Dog stayed behind with them. I waited for hours. The truck was missing and I found Ares shot. I don't know." Shane said, sounding defeated

"I'm going out there." Rick said, determined to find Sabrina. He jogged over to the fence,
opening the gate. Once Shane drove towards the prison, Rick sealed the gate before running over, "Daryl! We gotta go. Sanchez and T-Dog are
missing." He said

"Did yall get the medicine?" Maggie asked Shane, worriedly

Shane climbed out of the car, tossing the bag on the ground by Maggie's feet

"Ain't her fault you lost Sanchez." Daryl said, picking up the bag for Maggie.

Maggie thanked Daryl quietly, taking the bag before walking inside the prison

Daryl watched as Shane picked up Ares, limping inside of the prison

"Let's go." Rick said, climbing on the drivers seat, his heart racing at the idea of Sabrina being missing
