Sometimes. Its hard to describe how you really
feel. All you really know is that there's this feeling of impending doom. Your stomach is in knots, there's a lump in your throat and you feel like the room is spinning at the speed of light.
That's how Sabrina felt.
Her feet felt like they were cemented to the ground yet her knees were made of rubber. She stared in disbelief at Rick as he stood in the center of Deanne's home, his arm loosely around Jessie. It wasn't the arm around her that drove her to insanity. It was the fact he had kissed her.
After only being at the party for less than a few minutes, Sabrina turned on her heel, walking out the front door.
She exhaled deeply as she looked at the sky, walking to her house."Sanchez!" Daryl shouted, from the bench at the park
Sabrina ignored him as she walked up the staircase to her home, her heels clicking on the wooden porch
Daryl climbed off the bench, walking down the street to her house. He furrowed his eyebrows when he jiggled the knob, "Sanchez!" He said
Sabrina ignored him as she walked up the stairwell
Daryl grabbed his knife from his boot, wiggling the lock before it opened, "Hey! You deaf or just rude?" Daryl shouted at her
Sabrina stood on the stairs, looking down at Daryl.
Then he saw her.
Not Sanchez. Not Sabrina. But Her.
Daryl looked at Sabrina, taking in her curvy yet delicate figure that was always hidden underneath baggy clothes. He scanned her black dress, inhaling deeply as he looked up at her cleavage, noting the way the top of her breasts bulged out of her dress a bit. Then he saw her face. Such a soft , beautiful face. Her plump pink lips that trembled as she withheld sobs. Her light, honey brown eyes.
All of her. He saw her.
His.
"Sabrina." Daryl said, noting the smudged makeup under her eyes, "Who?" Daryl questioned, protectively, "Who upset you?" He asked, walking over and standing at the bottom of the stairs
"Rick!" Sabrina hiccuped
"Rick?" Daryl asked, walking up the stairs, his heavy boots thumping up each stair. He stood a few steps below her, looking up at her worriedly
"He kissed another girl at this stupid party." Sabrina said, looking down at Daryl
"The one who was cutting his hair?" Daryl questioned
"Yeah." Sabrina said, quietly
Daryl inhaled softly, "I'm sorry." He said, unsure of how to consolidate her, "C'mon, let's get you in some comfy clothes." He said
Sabrina turned around, walking up the stairs to her room. She shut the door, sniffling softly as she sat down on the bed.
Daryl knelt down in front of her, his calloused hands taking Sabrina's soft leg and placing it on his lap. He exhaled deeply as he undid the small buckle on her heels, looking up at her
Sabrina locked eyes with Daryl, feeling butterflies in her stomach
Daryl looked down at her soft pink pedicure, inhaling deeply as he switched legs, unbuckling the second heel, "I'm gonna take care of you, Sabrina." He said softly, "I promise."
"You do take care of me. Since the moment we met." Sabrina noted, "Remember? You picked me up and threw me over your shoulder? Fixed my skirt so nobody could see underneath it?" She recalled
