As the late afternoon began to transition into the early evening, Ms. Delights and Sofia strolled out of the main tent, their steps accompanied by the faint sounds of the last few members of the circus ensemble practicing their routines. As they made their way towards the edge of the camp, they caught a glimpse of Detective Black striding purposefully toward the row of trailers, her determined gait indicating she had a specific destination in mind.

Instinctively, Ms. Delights and Sofia exchanged curious glances, momentarily hiding behind a nearby stack of crates to remain unnoticed. Sofia whispered softly, "I wonder who she's planning to visit at this time?"

Ms. Delights nodded in agreement, her eyes trained on the detective's figure as she approached the trailers. "It's peculiar for her to be making rounds at this time without good reason. She must have someone specific in mind. We should wait and observe from here."

They lingered in their concealed spot, watching intently as Detective Black approached the trailers, her purposeful stride not revealing the identity of her intended target. The air around them held a sense of intrigue, fueling their curiosity about the detective's unexpected visit and its potential implications.

Detective Black arrived at Bella's trailer, the air thick with the weight of unanswered questions and the echoes of concealed secrets. Bella, immersed in her own thoughts, greeted the detective with a mixture of apprehension and curiosity.

"Bella," Detective Black began, her tone measured, "I've learned that you've been frequenting the post office, sending and collecting letters. It seems to be related to the Fonseca Circus. Can you shed some light on what this is about?"

Bella's eyes darted nervously, her unease palpable as she invited Detective Black inside, frantically scanning her home with her eyes making sure nothing could arouse suspicion. "Detective, it's not what you think. I... I've been corresponding with some family members from the Fonseca Fairground Circus, but it's just personal, not business. It has nothing to do with Ralph's murder before you ask."

Detective Black, perceptive as ever, studied Bella's expressions, seeking the truth veiled within her words. "Bella, the Fonseca Circus has been intertwined with the shadows of this investigation. I need to understand what these letters are about, especially considering the timing and the circumstances surrounding Ralph's death."

Bella hesitated, grappling with the decision to share the details of her correspondence. "I use to perform with the Fonseca Fairground Circus when I was younger before moving to the Carnival of Curiosity. There's many of my family and friends still there, but my mum in particular, especially since the passing of my father, we've been exchanging letters. But Detective, I swear, it has nothing to do with Ralph."

Detective Black leaned forward, her gaze penetrating the layers of Bella's evasive explanations. "Who is this person, Bella? And what is the nature of your correspondence? It's crucial that we uncover every connection, no matter how seemingly insignificant."

A sigh escaped Bella's lips, her shoulders slumping under the weight of the detective's scrutiny. "His name is Alphonso. We were close, and we've been catching up through letters. It's innocent, Detective. He is my uncle he has been there for mum since our father passed away suddenly just over two and a half years ago. Please, I don't want this to distract from finding out who killed Ralph."

Detective Black, though cautious, sensed a truth in Bella's words. "I appreciate your honesty, Bella. We need to consider every angle in this investigation. As Mr Alphonso Fonseca is connected to the Fonseca Fairground Circus, it's essential we understand the extent of this connection. I may need to speak with him as part of our inquiries."

Bella nodded, a mixture of relief and trepidation in her gaze.

"Bella, I need to understand," Detective Black began, her voice measured yet probing. "When you were at the post office, collecting and sending letters to the Fonseca Circus, you appeared uneasy. If the contents were as innocent as you claim, why the unease?"
