As dawn painted streaks of golden light across the sky, Mrs Rosa Lombardi stirred from her slumber with a sense of purpose. Thoughts of their covert plan from the previous night lingered in her mind, prompting her to seek out Ms Delights and gather intel on their strategic manoeuvre.

Eager to learn the outcome of their attempt to divert attention from their own suspicions, Rosa quickly readied herself for the day. She traversed the bustling circus grounds, her determination fueling each step, until she reached Ms Delights' stall.

With a hurried pace, she approached Ms Delights, a subtle urgency colouring her voice. "Good morning," Rosa greeted, her eyes scanning the surroundings cautiously before leaning in closer. "How did it go last night? Did you manage to plant the contracts as planned?"

Ms Delights, with a knowing glint in her eyes, responded in hushed tones, "Everything went smoothly. The contracts are exactly where they need to be." A faint smile played on her lips, revealing a sense of satisfaction at their successful endeavour.

Relieved by the news, Rosa nodded, a mixture of apprehension and anticipation swirling within her. Their calculated move to divert suspicion by planting the stolen contracts in Felix's bag had taken shape, and the success of their plan provided a glimmer of hope in the midst of the unfolding investigation.

With a shared understanding, they exchanged a knowing glance, reassured by their covert strategy. However, a lingering unease clung to Rosa and Jessica, a reminder that their deceit was merely a part of a larger web of intrigue to divert the detective from their own doorsteps. But the guilt of diverting the suspicion onto the innocent Felix Bauer did not sit easy with them or the intricate threads that wove them together.

As the first rays of the morning sun streamed through the curtains, Detective Black stirred from her slumber with a sense of purpose. The events of the previous day lingered in her mind, urging her to hasten to her office and initiate the critical analysis of the retrieved rucksack.

A palpable anticipation fueled her movements as she readied herself for the day ahead. Quickly dressing, she hastily gathered her belongings, her thoughts consumed by the contents of the rucksack-an unexpected trove of revelations that held the potential to unravel the mystifying puzzle of the Carnival of Curiosity.

The stolen contracts nestled within the bag had piqued her interest, but the startling discovery of what seemed to be another murder weapon, belonging to Marco the Magnificent, intensified her resolve to proceed with utmost urgency.

With a determined stride, Detective Black made her way to the station, each step resonating with purpose. The weight of the evidence she carried-contracts potentially incriminating Felix Bauer and the unexpected knife linked to Marco's act-fueled a sense of urgency to have them analysed.

Arriving at her office, she carefully retrieved the rucksack, treating its contents with the caution it warranted. The startling discoveries it harboured demanded immediate attention. Her instincts as an investigator were roused by the urgency to untangle the mysteries concealed within the bag's confines.

With a resolute determination, she headed towards the forensic department, carrying the pivotal evidence that held the potential to unlock the truth veiled within the shadows of the circus. The forensic analysis awaited-an essential step in unraveling the intricacies of the case that had seized her attention and haunted the tranquil town of Haven.

Meanwhile as the sun gently bathed the circus grounds in its morning glow, Felix Bauer stirred from his sleep, an air of anxiety enveloping him like a heavy shroud. His troubled demeanour was palpable, a reflection of the distress caused by the disappearance of his rucksack-the critical item he had frantically searched for in recent days.

Sofia, noticing her brother's distress, attempted to offer some reassurance. "Felix, Luna mentioned something yesterday," she began cautiously, her voice laced with concern. "She remembered seeing you with your bag, heading into the forest on that fateful night. Jessica was there listening and she even mentioned going to look for it last night. Believing she would cause less suspicions if she was out in the forest and was seen or worse yet, caught.

Her words seemed to heighten Felix's unease. The revelation of Luna's recollection added another layer of complexity to the situation, amplifying his apprehension. His mind raced, contemplating the implications of Luna's observations and Ms Delights's subsequent nocturnal excursion into the woods.

The weight of uncertainty hung heavily in the air, the forest becoming an ominous backdrop to their concerns. Felix's anxiety intensified, the elusive rucksack-a seemingly innocuous item-now an object of profound significance in the midst of the circus's turmoil.

As the day dawned, Felix's worries compounded, entangling him further in the intricate web of suspicion and secrecy that enshrouded them at the circus. The forest, once a sanctuary of tranquility, now loomed ominously, concealing both his unanswered questions and the elusive truth he sought.

Amidst the bustling atmosphere of the circus, Felix Bauer, agitated and hurried, darted through the familiar pathways, his steps propelled by Sofia's revelation about Ms. Delights' nocturnal venture into the forest.

As he navigated the maze of rides and stalls, intent on finding Ms. Delights, fate led him to an unexpected encounter. He collided with Rosa Lombardi-in a fortuitous convergence of paths-halted his frantic progress.

"Felix, what's the rush?" Rosa's concerned voice intercepted his hurried steps. Although she had a good idea of his frantic behaviour.

In the midst of his agitation, Felix halted abruptly, breathless from both his haste and the abrupt meeting. "Rosa, have you seen Ms. Delights? Sofia said she went into the forest last night, and I-I need to find her."

Rosa's brow furrowed with worry, mirroring Felix's distress. "I was just with her at the stall," she replied, gesturing towards Ms. Delights' stand. "The forest? Why would she venture there Felix?"

Together, they hastened to the stall, where Felix's agitation escalated. Sensing his unease, Ms. Delights, under the watchful gaze of her friend Rosa, swiftly ushered him away from curious onlookers, leading him to a secluded corner of the tent.

"Felix, calm down. What's wrong?" Jessica's voice was a soothing balm, attempting to pacify his escalating anxiety.

"I heard you went searching for the rucksack," Felix blurted out, his words tinged with urgency. "Sofia said you went into the forest last night. Did you find it?"

A sense of concern mingled with relief washed over Felix as Ms. Delights gently shook her head. "I'm sorry, Felix. I couldn't locate it," she confessed, her tone laced with regret.

The weight of uncertainty lingered, a blend of concern and reassurance threading through Felix's emotions. Despite the lack of success in Jessica's quest, the relief of just her presence along with her attempt to aid him, in the search eased his agitated nerves, leaving behind a lingering sense of both apprehension and comfort in the tumultuous swirl of the circus.

"Felix," Rosa began with a soft yet confronting tone "rehearsals will begin in less than an hour make sure you're ready please."

Felix left the tent. Rosa with a controlling but reassuring nod of her head to Jessica followed Felix out soon after.
