As the town of Haven began to awaken, Detective Black was already in her office, the early morning light filtering through the blinds. She sat at her desk, a steaming cup of coffee in hand, meticulously laying out her plan for the day.

Yesterday's conversations with Rosa, Marco, and various revelations had set the stage for today's crucial interrogations. The detective prioritised three key suspects she needed to speak with further. The events from Harrison & Hyde Solicitors and the intriguing letter from the Joneses at the Post Office beckoned her attention as well.

The circus was set to reopen tomorrow evening, and Detective Black was acutely aware of the urgency to resolve the case before the grand reopening. The impending deadline loomed over her, urging her to piece together the puzzle quickly.

Her mind buzzed with questions and theories, but she was determined to follow each lead diligently, dissecting through every bit of evidence methodically. With resolve and determination, she prepared herself for the pivotal day ahead, knowing that today's decisions and revelations could shape the outcome of the investigation.

As Marco gathered himself in the morning light, a new sense of clarity washed over him. With a weighty dilemma hanging over his thoughts regarding his mother's actions, he resolved to approach her about the transfer of ownership of the circus shares in a calm and composed manner. Seeking clarity on her intentions and if it was so innocent then why the secrecy, but for now this could wait.

However, before delving into that delicate conversation, he needed to address something more pressing-a conversation he overheard last night while working on the upkeep of the stalls readying for the circus's reopening. Felix and Luna were engaged in a discussion, Felix seemingly anxious about his missing rucksack, worried about something concealed within it. Among Felix's words, Marco distinctly recalled Felix's admission about a hidden knife.

This revelation had left Marco unsettled, and he felt it imperative to clarify matters with his mother. Approaching her in her office within the circus tent, he found her reviewing some paperwork. "Mother, do you have a moment?" Marco's voice was steady, masking the inner turmoil.

Rosa looked up, a warm smile on her face, "Of course, Marco. What is it?" Rosa replied with an equally inner turmoil she was trying to mask.

"I overheard a conversation last night between Felix and Luna. Felix mentioned a missing rucksack and a hidden knife he had. Did you know about the knife? Has the rucksack been found? Did Detective Black mention anything yesterday?" Marco asked, trying to keep his tone neutral yet concerned, hoping his mother might shed light on this mysterious revelation.

Back over in Haven, Detective Black sat in her office, considering her strategy for the day. She decided it was time to approach Felix Bauer about the search for his missing rucksack. The information about the missing knife had piqued her curiosity, and she was determined to glean more details without revealing too much.

She collected her notepad, concealing the critical aspects of the investigation, and headed out of her office to the circus to find Felix. As she walked through the town, she plotted her approach, hoping to gain insight into the situation without causing alarm.

Meanwhile, Detective Black pondered the right time to approach both Ms. Delights and Bella at the circus. She was aware that their interactions might reveal more about the recent events. She planned to speak with them separately, hoping to piece together the puzzle without tipping her hand too soon.

Back over at the circus in the trailer courtyard the Lombardi's were eating breakfast and as they sat in Rosa's office, where Marco had just revealed the interesting conversation he had heard between Felix and Luna, Marco was fidgety, clearly struggling with the unspoken words between them. Rosa noticed his unease and deciding to ignore his revelation about Felix, she gently prodded, "You seemed troubled after speaking with the detective yesterday. What made you want to leave the circus grounds?" Addressing the elephant in the room.
