Marco was wandering, the now familiar, streets of Haven, his mind tangled with thoughts about his family's circus, his mother's unshared secrets, and the detective's questioning. Lost in contemplation, he barely noticed the townsfolk passing by. Then, amidst his swirling thoughts, unsure in the direction which to take, he saw Bella just coming out of the Post Office.

"Hey, Bella!" Marco called out, his voice echoing through the calm street. Bella seemed lost in her own world, her steps slow and heavy. For a moment, it seemed she didn't hear him. But then she stopped, turning slightly as if contemplating whether to acknowledge his call or not.

Sensing her distress, Marco quickened his pace. As he approached, he noticed the despair etched across her face. Her eyes, usually bright, were clouded with tears, and her usual grace seemed replaced by a heaviness in her shoulders.

"Bella, what's wrong?" Marco asked, his voice filled with concern. He reached out, placing a gentle hand on her trembling shoulder. At his touch, she glanced up, her eyes filled with a mixture of anguish and surprise. Without a word, she slumped onto the nearest bench, burying her face in her hands as sobs racked her body. The emotion and angst she had been carrying all this time just found it's way to the surface and overflowed.

Alarmed, Marco sat down next to her, his mind racing with worry. He wrapped an arm around her shoulders, offering her a comforting embrace, silently urging her to share her pain. Bella's tears flowed freely, her breathing laboured between sobs. She was visibly distraught, as if carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders.

"Bella, please, talk to me," Marco urged gently, his voice soft but filled with a sincere concern. He sat beside her, lending a comforting presence, waiting for her to gather her thoughts.

With a shuddering breath, Bella finally looked up at him, her eyes red and swollen. "I can't keep this inside anymore, Marco," she choked out, her voice wavering. "Everything's falling apart, and I don't know what to do."

"Did you want to talk, I promise I will just listen this time" Marco said reassuringly

"I can't find the words Marco," Bella could barely muster the energy to reply. "What brings you into Haven?" She softly spoke changing the subject.

Marco sighed, feeling the weight of his own troubles weighing heavily. "Bella, I never thought I'd feel this way about my mother. It's like I've been blindsided by something I never knew existed, a side of her I can't explain" he confessed, his voice tinged with hurt and confusion.

Bella looked at Marco, sympathy glimmering in her eyes. "I understand that feeling, Marco. Betrayal can cut deep, especially when it's from someone you trust the most," she empathised, her voice softening as she spoke. "Sometimes, we find ourselves facing situations we never imagined, and it's okay to feel lost."

Marco nodded, absorbing her words. "I just can't wrap my head around it all. I feel like I don't even know who she is anymore," he admitted, his voice tinged with both frustration and sadness.

Bella placed a reassuring hand on his arm this time. "It's okay not to have all the answers right away. Take your time and approach her when you're ready. Maybe try to understand her perspective," she suggested gently, trying to offer her support.

Marco sighed, grateful for Bella's comforting presence. "Thanks, Bella. It means a lot," he said, a small smile forming on his lips.

As the conversation unfolded, Bella began to relax a bit, her shoulders easing from their tense position. "If you ever need someone to talk to or just to listen, I'm here, Marco," she offered, a genuine concern evident in her voice.

Marco nodded appreciatively. "Thank you, Bella. Your words mean a lot to me," he replied, genuinely touched by her support.

The two sat in a shared moment of understanding, finding solace in each other's company, both grappling with their own troubles yet finding comfort in the shared confidences and mutual support.
