Detective Black sat at her cluttered desk, piecing together the newly uncovered connections between Rosa, Marco, and Mr. Ortiz. As the picture slowly became clearer, she pondered the potential motives behind the murder.

"Rosa and Marco had the most to gain if Mr. Ortiz was out of the way," she muttered to herself. "With the amended will stating that in the event of Ralph or Marco's death, Rosa would inherit their shares, the motive becomes evident. But why transfer Marco's share to Rosa 12 months ago?"

She tapped her pen against the desk, lost in thought. "Their long-held grudge against Lorenzo resurfaced when he tried to exclude Rosa from the Circus' ownership. If Marco or Ralph's deaths were to happen, the Circus would have become part of Rosa once again. This could have been her way of getting back at Lorenzo for attempting to cut her out. But why would that of mattered to Ralph" she thought.

Detective Black scribbled notes furiously, formulating a plan to confront Rosa and Marco with the uncovered evidence, aiming to crack the case wide open.

Detective Black drummed her fingers on the desk, weighing up her options. The revelations about the Circus' past hinted at a murky history involving long-standing grudges and hidden motives.

"Madame Hattie might hold the key to understanding the deep-rooted issues within the Circus," she murmured to herself. "Being a constant presence in the midst of their family feud, she might provide insights into Lorenzo's decisions and the tensions between Rosa, Marco, and Mr. Ortiz."

Back over at the Carnival of Curiosity as the afternoon sun began to cast its golden hues over the circus grounds, the bustling rehearsals came to a close. The performers gradually made their way out, their excitement still lingering in the air to resume working under the guidance of Ms Delights once more.
Among them were the Bauer twins, Sofia and Felix, who were requested by Ms. Delights to remain behind after the practice session.

"Sofia, Felix," Ms. Delights called out gently, her tone carrying a hint of seriousness amid the lively atmosphere. "Could you two stay back for a moment? There's something I'd like to discuss with both of you."

Curiosity flickered in the twins' eyes as they exchanged a curious glance, acknowledging the unusual request. They nodded in unison, taking a seat on the edge of the performance ring, wondering what might prompt such an impromptu conversation with their trusted mentor. The air was tinged with a sense of anticipation, leaving them intrigued about the matters Jessica wished to address after the day's rehearsals.

"Thank you both for staying back," Ms. Delights began, her voice carrying a tone of concern. "I wanted to check in with both of you, considering all the recent events and accusations that have been aimed at Felix, in particular."

Sofia and Felix exchanged a knowing glance, recognising the weight of the situation. "It's been challenging," Sofia admitted, a trace of worry evident in her voice. "We're both trying to cope with everything that's been happening. It's been hard on Felix."

Felix nodded, a mix of frustration and uncertainty etched on his face. "It's been tough, especially with the suspicions looming over me. I'm doing my best to deal with it."

Ms. Delights listened attentively, empathising with their predicament. "I understand it's not easy, but I want you both to know that I'm here for you. You're both incredibly talented performers, and I believe in your innocence. We need to work together to navigate through this challenging time."

The twins nodded, grateful for her reassurance and support. The weight of the accusations and suspicions had taken a toll on them, but Ms. Delights' unwavering belief in their integrity provided a glimmer of hope amidst the turmoil that had engulfed the circus.
