Anamaria
"Leave!" Garrett yelled and throw my cloak at me.
The terrible memories flash back into my head of that terrible night. I pulled away from his highness as he studied my face.
I stepped back and he follow. I stopped him.
"It's best if you stay away from me," I said.
Tears rolled down my eyes.
"I want the best for you your highness. Ever since that night when we escaped, I secretly like you and when we met again in the forest, I knew I couldn't escape you. I release my feeling for you but the night of the festival was my biggest confusion. When I woke up, I don't know if I am willing to forgive you because the memories of that night hurts like hell." I was surprise at my own word.
"Anamaria,"his highness took a step forward and I step back.
"Your highness, our relationship would never work out. I'm a Drydalen and you're a Ravernican."
"Is that what you think?"
"I'm not a royalty or a princess," I nodded. "We were not meant to be together. God will find you a princess that is better than me."
I closed my eyes waiting for his respond. He didn't speak. He glare at me with a emotion I couldn't read.
"Anamaria, I am twenty one. I can decide for myself who I want to marry or fall in love with. My parents can't stop me from having my own feeling because I'm not child. If they don't understand then I don't care."
"Prince Garrett-"
"If that's what you think then I can't stop you."
He turn his back to face me, "I'll get the carriage ready for you."
I nodded and thanks him quietly. He cursed under his breath as he walked out the door. I sat on the bed feeling the texture of the blanket. Pain is word I can think of.
I haven't notice my face were still wet. I lean back as I let the tears release. My inside wall were breaking. I feel bad, what did the Prince think of me?
After the harsh words I said, he probably hate me like he want to murder me.
The bedroom door open revealing Nora, she smile at me and told me to follow her. I follow her as I took my last glance of the Ravernica castle. The castle is more traditional and luxury than the Drysdale castle. I would guess that is every girls dream to live in this castle. Just like it's every Ravernican's girl dream to marry the Prince.
I followed Nora in the walk in closet. I stopped on track, "Nora, no."
She was about to protest but I stopped her. I don't want to wear anymore of the Ravenican's clothes. I don't think Princess Christina would be happy with me in her gown.
I left my designer cloak at Kyle's home. That night when they took me away. After I finished, I followed Nora as we walked downstair to the first floor. Prince Garett stood, leaning to a wall with his arm cross. He glance at me and nodded at the carriage man.
"Nora will be with you for your safety." He said, not even looking at me. "I talked to Prince Harper, he's not very happy about it. Your aunt is waiting for you at the palace." He said and walk into the library. He didn't say goodbye. I closed my eyes to prevent my wall from falling. I do not want to cry in front of Nora.
What if someone hurt you badly and apologized, would you forgive them? I want to forgive him. I'm not even mad at him. It was my fault for my misunderstanding. I wish I could take that back.
I step inside the carriage as Nora followed by. The memories we had together with his brother, Prince Lucifer. The Lancastern. Beth and everyone! It's so hard to get it out of my head.
I ignored it.
As soon as we arrives at the Drysdale castle, I froze. From the window, Prince Harper was standing, his eyes was with worries and Princess Pamela by his side. My aunt was fanning herself.
Nora nodded as I got out of the carriage. The princess ran up to me and hug me while Prince Harper hold Princess Pamela's hand.
My aunt was next to grabbed me, "I was so worry about you!" She said, half crying.
"Anamaria," Prince Harper said suddenly. "Lucifer dropped your horse off this morning, they're back at your stable."
The king and queen gave a sad look. "We don't know what those Ravernican and Lancastern was going to go to you, we were so worry!" Queen came up to me and squeeze me into a tight hug.
She feel like a second mom to me, except richer and more power. Prince Harper turn his heel and walk back inside the castle as Princess Pamela chase after him.
"Let's go home," aunt said.
"Where's Anabeth?" I asked.
Aunt shook her head, "she went out to look for you."
"Aunt Monica! How could you let her? What if she was taken by an Eastain?"
Aunt looked at me, "how do you know about the Eastain?" She asked. I froze. Are we not supposed to know?
"Don't worry, she promised to come back home at night."
"What if she doesn't come back?" I asked aunts
"She will, she does every night."
I stepped into my carriage, already missing Ravernica and Lancaster. I could see the difference. Those two kingdom are the most luxury kingdom I've ever seen. I don't get why the royalty isn't quite friendly.
As soon as I step out of the carriage, I made my way to the stable as Aunt Monica ran after me. Lighting jump as soon as she see me.
"Aunt, why did you hide this from me?" I asked.
"What did I hide from you?" She asked back.
"That my parent's death has something to do with the Eastain."
"Look, Anamaria. I didn't mean to-"
"It's okay aunt, I get it."
Aunt sigh and make her way inside the mansion. I grab some haystack and feed it to Lighting. She looks happy. She was perfectly clean and smell good. Her hair were brush properly and her eyes danced like they used to.
I smile as I thought about it. That is when I catch something from the corner of my eyes it was so quick I couldn't remember. Is it just my eyes playing tricks on me or did I see a handsome man in a black cloak?
Goosebumps appears on my arm as my leg were getting weaker. I pour some water and feed it to Lighting . The heavy bucket weight make me weak. And there it is again.
From the corner of my eyes, a handsome man in a black cloak. I hesitate to turn around, because I knew if I did...he would disappear again. I could see his hair because he was wearing a hood.
I dropped the bucket and Lighting stared at me. She was too focus on her water that she didn't see what was behind me.
There's something about that man in the cloak I couldn't figured out.
I apologized to Lighting a feed her water again. The man is still here.
After Lighting finished drinking her water, from the corner of my eyes, I can see him walked away.
Lighting fall asleep after she ate and I quickly fled into the mansion. I slowly took a step inside the mansion's back door. I check around to make sure no one was following.
I made my way toward the stair and I I feel footsteps running behind me. Until the voice said, "Anamaria."
