A/N: I know this song was released in the 1980, but this story take place in the Renaissance time. Let's just pretend that this this song was very old.
I was walking back to the chamber until I hear the sound of a piano coming from a distant. I turn around to walk to the direction.
In shock, I find Prince Garrett playing the piano. I lean against the door listening what to come next.
I've heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do you?
It goes like this
The fourth, the fifth
The minor fall, the major lift
The baffled king composing HallelujahHallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, HallelujahYour faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you
She tied you to a kitchen chair
She broke your throne, she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the HallelujahHallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, HallelujahMaybe I have been here before
I know this room, I've walked this floor
I used to live alone before I knew you
I've seen your flag on the marble arch
Love is not a victory march
It's a cold and it's a broken HallelujahHallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, HallelujahThere was a time you let me know
What's real and going on below
But now you never show it to me, do you?
And remember when I moved in you?
The holy dark was moving too
And every breath we drew was HallelujahHallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, HallelujahMaybe there's a god above
And all I ever learned from love
Was how to shoot at someone who outdrew you
And it's not a cry you can hear at night,
It's not somebody who's seen the light
It's a cold and it's a broken HallelujahHallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, HallelujahI made my way to the Prince clapped my hand. It was surprising that the charming prince know how to play piano and sing. He didn't expect me, he turn around to face me in shock.
Garrett grin as he stared back at me. "Do you like that song?" He asked as I took a seat on the piano bench next to him.
"I love it," I said softly. "It was beautiful."
Garrett wrap his hand around mine as he continued to stare at me. His smile didn't faded, "my father sang that song to my mother when he proposed to her." Garrett said softly. I close my eyes and listen. I didn't want tears falling from my face after listening to a sad story about his dead mother.
"My parents met when they were seventeen, my mother was arranged to marry another guy and my dad has a arranged fiancée. They both fell in love with each other and they refused to marry who they were chosen for." He paused.
"Oh," we both broke into a serene.
"This is it?" He asked.
"I guess so," I said a little disappointed. "I'm leaving tomorrow morning, do you mind come to say goodbye?"
He chuckle, "of course not."
I quietly exit the room, I can feel his addicting brown eyes on me. As the door closed, I sigh in relief. I'm glad that his highness didn't see me cry. I let go of the wall I was holding back.
Nora walked past me, "did you give the letter to the messenger?" I asked her. She nodded. "Thank you," I said as I made my way to my favorite place at the castle. The garden. The beautiful garden is my favorite place.
Not only its serene but barely anyone come here. I watched the waterfall as they bird land clumsy on the ground.
"My lady," a servant behind me called.
"Yes?" I asked as she hand me a letter. The envelope was Brown, which mean it's from Drysdale.
I waited till she leave as I open the envelope carefully trying not to rip the letter. I didn't know Anabeth can write this fast.
I will send the carriage to pick you tonight, good luck.
Anabeth
Tonight. This is it. The sound of barking made me jump. Rafael ran up to me and lick my leg.
"Rafael!" I tried to push away the baby husky.
I chuckle as he run around in the circle chasing his tail.

Knock. Knock.
"My lady, the carriage is here!" A voice shout behind the door. I frown as Nick opened the door with other guards and pick up my baggages.
I followed them as they lead me downstair.
"We'll miss you," Nick said as we got to the main floor. The carriage man waited politely in the doorway as the guards put my baggages in the carriage.
The king and queen was outside of the castle, under the midnight stars. Prince Garrett lean against the wall, crossing his arms. He fake a smile when I arrived at the front.
I smile back. The queen gave me a big hug and so did some of the servants.
This may be the last time at Ravernica.
My smile dropped as soon as I step outside. I turn to Prince Garrett and the silence between us started. The spectator watched us like a predator but we didn't care.
"Good luck," he said.
I smiled, "thank you."
He nodded as the get inside the carriage. The guard bow as I entered. From the carriage window, everyone was waving goodbye.
As soon as the carriage started to move, I knew this was it. When the carriage made their way to the castle gate, I turn around and take a last look at the Ravernican. That's when I realized that Prince Garrett is gone.
I didn't care. I let my tear flow down freely as I waited for the long night to pass.
Sometime, you just got to know that you can't have everything you wanted. It's just selfish. You just need to motivate yourself and be happy with who you truly are.
For me, Anamaria...it's not working.
