Chapter Nine

Anamaria

"Anamaria, would you like to come with us?" Prince Lucifer offered. I nodded, that would be great. I am lost anyway.

Prince Garrett look frustrated. "We can't bring her back to Ravernica! Father is going to kill her!" I rather die than go to Ravernica. Prince Lucifer smirks at his brother.

"Who said anything about going back to Ravernica? I'm not going to let anyone hurt Anamaria."

Prince Garrett and I share a look, "what do you mean?" Prince Garrett asked.

"It mean that we're going to hide in a little village."

"What about my family?" I asked. The prince bit his bottom lip before speaking, "we're going to have pretend that you've been kidnapped. If you go back, you might get kill because they saw you witnessed the crime scene."

I nodded, I am not really sure what this whole situation is. "Can I ask you something?" I asked, "what did we ever do to Eastain and why are they killing us." I expected Prince Lucifer to know this but he does not.

He shook his head, "I don't know the real story. The Eastain most hated kingdom are Ravernica and Drysdale. You should ask my brother."

"Garrett, do you know?" I asked Prince Garrett. His lip curved into an alluring smile when I said his name.

"Yes. I know about the Eastain, but this isn't the appropriate time to tell you." He said and look back at his brother.

"We need to leave now before the Eastain catch us." Prince Lucifer said as everyone jump on their horses and followed Prince Lucifer.

We arrived at the village at an early morning. It was a small village. Once Prince Lucifer jumped off the horse, the peasants ran to greeted him and bow.

One girl came to curtsy at Prince Lucifer and he gave her a hug. Not just a friendly hug, more like relationship hug. Prince Garrett broke their hug by clearing his throat out loud causing people to noticed the two of us standing behind Prince Lucifer.

"It's Prince Garrett!" A young lady about my age yelled. Prince Garrett grabbed my hand and slowly backing away. Prince Garrett turn to me and mouth 'help me' and I chuckled at his reaction.

"With...a girl...." The young lady continued to speak. I released my hand from the prince's hand and glance at the staring villagers. "I-I...." I tried to speak but failed to say anything.

Prince Lucifer grin at me, "this is Anamaria, my brother's wife. My sister in-law." My eyes opened widely as I look at the smirking prince next to me.

The villagers were whispering to each other. I felt myself uncomfortable. I look at Prince Lucifer who is giving me a apologies face. "It's for the villagers." He mouth and I rolled my eyes.

"Princess Anamaria, you're beautiful, your highness. Prince Garrett is so lucky to have you." One old lady said.

I was about to tell her this was an misunderstanding but Prince Garret cut me off, "thank you. She's beautiful and have a heart of one of a kind, that's why I feel in love with her. Her personality made me want to kiss her." The Prince smirk at me and I gave him a disgusted look.

"Kiss! Kiss!" The villagers yelled. My cheek blush in embarrassment. Prince Garrett look at me and at the crowd. He gave a death glare to his brother, who gave him an apologies look.

Prince Lucifer raised his hand as the crowds silence, "I don't think it's appropriate right now."

Prince Lucifer make a hand sign telling someone to come. The young lady that Prince Lucifer hugged came up to us. Prince Lucifer whispered something in her ears and she nodded with a blush.

"Anamaria, Teresa will be your servant and if you need anything just tell her." The young lady curtsy at me, and my eyes caught her beautiful feature hazel eyes and medium brown hair. No wonder why the prince liked her.

After the long conversation with the villagers, Teresa lead me to a small cabin house. It wasn't that bad.

"You must be tired, do you want to take a bath first and sleep?" Teresa asked me. I gave her a soft smile.

I nodded. She took out a bed sheet and a sleeping mat. I was about to ask her a question until someone knocked on the door. Teresa opened and reveal another beautiful redheaded young lady.

The young lady look at me and to Teresa, "Prince Lucifer wanted her highness to sleep in the same cabin with Prince Garrett."

"I can sleep by myself," I said, feeling a bit of anger inside me.

"I'm sorry, your highness. It's the prince's order and this is Lancaster so I have to obey him." She said with a curtsy.

I look at her waiting for her to catch my eyes, "I'm not a princess and I'm not Prince Garrett's wife."

"We are far from the Lancaster palace and the town. We don't know much about the royal family or what's happening in the kingdom. We're hiding in a whole different world."

"Why don't you guys moved to the town?" I asked as Teresa shook her head. "It's too expensive. We are very very poor and there's no way we could afford any money."

"Anyway, I'm taking the princess to the lake-" Teresa was cut off by the young lady with light ombré red hair and green eyes.

"Teresa, Prince Lucifer want you to help him with something...I'll take care of the princess." I caught Teresa pink cheek as she walked out of the cabin.

"Are you ready?" The girl asked me holding a bath towel.
