Her highness Princess Pamela's POV

"Pam, I need to speak with you." Harper said as I was a few feet away from the carriage.

I sigh, "there's nothing to talk about, Harper. Go to sleep."

"Why can't you leave tomorrow? It's dangerous at night."

I close my eyes to prevent tears from falling. "Harper, leave me alone, please."

He took a step and grab my arm, "you're not leaving Drysdale until we talk," he said and dragged me to the garden.

I glance back at my carriage man, giving him a signal to stay. There's no way I'm staying at Drysdale without breaking a tear. My brother is staying over for the night because Princess Erin wanted him to. I don't think anyone want a person like me to stay.

He took a seat on the bench and signal for me to sit next to him. I shook my head, "I have to go, Harper."

In his hand was a large bottle of champagne, "no you don't." He said. He open the cap and took a sip of the champagne.

Classy Prince.

"Get to the point, I want to leave." I said harshly not meaning to say.

The Prince looked at me, "were you with Anamaria earlier?"

I nodded, he looked a little mad. "What do you want from her, Pam?"

"I want nothing from her, Harper! I want nothing but happiness for her."

Harper grabbed my wrist, "Pam!" I struggle to get out.

"Harper, let me go!"

"Pam, listen to me." His strong hand hurt my wrist. "Anamaria is special to me, she's my best friend." He let go of my hand and looked away.

"Just friend?" I asked. He nodded, "I can tell." He looked at me, before another devilish words can come out of his mouth, I stopped him from speaking. "Do you want to know what I was talking to Anamaria about?"

He nodded.

I took a deep breath, my worst fear was letting someone know about my asthma. I'm a weak person.

"I was talking to Anamaria, about you." I started as Harper's eyes meet mine.

Now, I can't prevent the tears from falling from my eyes. Mother told me to be strong, I can't. Harper noticed my tear and step toward attempt to wipe it from my face. I step back as he stopped.

"I can't," I say. "I can't do this anymore, I know it's my duty as a princess to marry another royalty for the kingdom. But I can't."

"Pam-"

"I can't marry someone who doesn't love me for me, Harper. I really like you, but it almost seem like you never notice me. I know you love Anamaria, but she doesn't love you." I stopped. I can feel my hand shaking but I kept going. "She love Prince Garrett, if you love her, let her be happy."  I said softly.

"I don't believe you," he said.

I wipe all the tears from my eyes, I'm glad that I let it out. It made me feel better.

"Then don't, I'm not telling you to stay away from her. I'm just telling you to marry someone you love."

I turn to face away from him.

"I'll talk to my father about canceling the engagement." I said softly, I went up to him to kiss his cheek.

I grabbed his shoulder and he stare at me. "If you love her, prove it to her. This may be the last time we will see each other. Goodbye, Harper." I said as I ran from the garden.

Prince Harper stood still, calling my name.

I went to the castle entrance and rush into the carriage in case Harper is following me.

"Leave," I told my carriage men in a rush.

I looked back to see if Harper followed. My heart sank.

He didn't.
