CHAINS

Chapter 23

Hindi ko alam kung gaano ako katagal nakatulog. Nagising lang ako dahil sa naramdaman kong may humahaplos sa pisngi ko.

I immediately opened my eyes thinking it was Ashton pero ang mukha ni Asher na nakangiti ang sumilay sa akin.

"Mummy, i missed you today." He said before hugging me.

My heart melted. Oh my boy. He is my heart. I hugged him back and kissed his head.

"I missed you too, my love." I told him, smiling so wide. He looked happy today. Like really happy. He's giddy and has that sheepish smile i seldom see this past few years.

Hinagod ko ang likod niya habang mahigpit ang yakap ko.

Talagang si Asher lang ang nakakapawi ng lungkot ko. He is my medicine to my cruel life.

We stayed hugging for awhile. Mga ganitong moment ang talagang ini enjoy ko. I don't want this to ever end.

But happiness is not forever talaga dahil pumasok si Ashton mula sa banyo. He was wearing a robe at mukhang bagong ligo.
Umiwas ako ng tingin dahil kinikilabutan na naman ako.

Biglang kumalas si Asher sa akin at bumangon para tumayo sa kama. He started jumping on the bed.
"Daddy! Tell me mummy what we did today!" He said excitedly.

"Asher, stop jumping on the bed." Saway ko sa kanya. I held his hand and stopped him from jumping again. Naaalog kasi ang kama at sumasakit ang ulo ko sa galaw.
Nagpatiuna naman ang bata at muling yumakap sa akin.

"Mummy, we went to the arcade after dad's meeting! I was behaved, mummy, even though it was boring in there!" Masayang Kwento niya sa akin.

I saw Ashton in my peripheral view na papalapit sa amin kaya mabilis kong nilipat si Asher sa kabila ko para kahit papano ay may harang sa akin si Ashton.

"Really, baby? I'm so proud of you! And what games did you play?"

"We played all of it, mummy! Daddy bought me alot of coins! I wish you were there, mummy!"

I ruffled his hair. "Maybe next time, baby." Sabi ko nalang.
Maybe next time pero di kasama ang daddy mo.

"If you want, we can go there tomorrow." Ashton sat down on the bed and leaned to kiss me. Mabilis kong iniwas ang mukha ko pero natigilan ako ng makita ang matalim na tingin niya sa akin.

He held my nape and pulled me for a kiss.
I just let him kiss me. "Don't fucking do that again." Madiin bulong niya sa akin. I just nodded after he let go of my nape.

"Can we go back, mummy? I really want to play with you and dad. Please, mummy! Please!" He begged me with his puppy eyes and pouty lips.

I smiled at him. "Ofcourse, love."
How can i say no to him when all i can see is his happy face? Ayoko munang sirain ang masayang aura ni Asher.

"Yes! Thank you, mummy! I love you so much! And daddy too!" Masayang saad ng bata. Tumayo pa ito para tumalon ulit to celebrate. Mabilis din namang tumigil at bumalik para yumakap sa akin sabay halik sa labi ko.

Natawa naman ako sa ginawa niya. He doesn't really kiss me on the lips anymore. Sabi niya big boy na daw siya kaya di na daw niya gagawin. "You're welcome, my love." Masayang tugon ko at ginulo ulit ang buhok niya

"Asher, mummy's lips are for daddy only." Ashton suddenly said from my side.

"Oh. Sorry, daddy. I forgot." He said giggling. Napawi naman ang ngiti ko sa labi sa narinig.

"Mummy's lips belong only to daddy. Nobody's allowed to kiss her except me, okay?" Ashton told his son.

Parang biglang pumitik ang ugat sa ulo ko sa galit. Kaya ba biglang tumigil si Asher sa paghalik sa akin dahil sa kung ano anong mga sinasabi niya sa bata? Anong klaseng tao siya!?? Oh wait. Di nga pala talaga tao itong lalaking to. Demonyo siya.
